My Xbox crapped out today. Didn't get the RRoD, it instead was felled by a system error (one red ring in lower right). Let's have a moment of silence for my Xbox.

Xbox 1: June 2007- September 2008

Anyway, I had a two year warranty with Best Buy so I could just take it to the store and exchange it for free (better than having to send it back to Microsoft). So I went to Best Buy and went to the service counter. The guy at the counter was very nice, and just told me to pick out a new one. I picked up a Pro edition (now with a 60Gb hardrive >_>), I exchanged hardrives (all my data was on my old one), and then the exchange was complete. The guy then ran it through the computer and saw the price difference. Back in June 2007, it cost $400, now it costs $300. I got the $100 price difference back! I used $40 of it on another replacement plan (just in case), which left me with $60. I was pretty happy with the $60, that's another game I can buy. I find it awesome that something bad can easily turn into something good.

Yep, on August 5th my mom, dad, sister, and myself are moving to Charlotte, NC. My dad works for The Sporting News and the company recently moved to Charlotte from St.Louis. We'll be living in an apartment until we sell our house. The apartment complex is pretty nice (My family took a trip down there in early July to take a look around). It has a pool which is nice and has pretty nice sized apartments (And I won't have to cut the grass ^_^). The apartments are fully furnished, so we only need to take a few things. I'll take my 360 and maybe my computer (and clothes). Not exactly sure how we're going to get all our stuff down their in just a Dodge Caravan, but we'll manage Oh and BTW I'm going to Ardrey Kell High School.

Going down there has grown on me now. At first I was skeptical, but now I'm a bit more comfortable with it. It sucks that I'm leaving my friends and family, but what can you do? I've decided to make the best of it and hopefully everything will turn out fine.

I'm finally done with those things. I do have to wear a retainer but only at night, so it's not that bad. Feels kind of strange without them on, but oh well. And the best part is I got a water bottle filled with candy and THREE balloons. Two years of braces for three balloons, totally worth it
