Im really quite excited just now! I'm going to France (Cognac)in less than a month and im in the process of booking flights to japan for March/April 2007 obv.
I want to go for cherry blossom season but need to pick dates carefully for my Art school interview in April. If (people that know me laugh all you want) I am super organised I can have my portfolio ready for mid march and just have THE interview when I get back - complete with some lanscape renderings of the beautiful Kyoto in mid-cherry blossom beauty!
Any Kyoto/Japan travelling tips from anyone would be much appreciated!

I'd love to visit the land of the rising sun, if not for the massive gaming culture, then for the historical and cultural side.
I've read that Kyoto is surrounded on 3 sides by mountains and is quite scenic with the old imperial buildings dotted about. Gosh, I might have to plan my own trip there... ^_^

LOL!! yeah definately, im going there because it looks like a good combination of traditional and modern Japan! i didnt know about the three mountains, sounds outstanding!!!
