Ok so I'm so excited that all my programs are back on again! A lot of people are saying that something is different about Lorelai and that it might not just be the absence of Amy Sherman Palladino but maybe that Lauren Graham has lost her enthusiam for the character - but I thought she was very Lor in the episode.. i hold to the opinion that her funk is simply from the character being distraught about the situation with Luke, etc. That was so sad how Luke came to her offering her everything she wanted but she not only turned him away but told him about what she did.. it looks like in the next episode he's going to go for the jugular.. Even though the premiere didnt lead us to believe that Lor wanted to make a go of it with Christopher (even though he obviously did) it seems from coming episodes and some spoilers I may have stumbled upon that they in fact will date this season - which I have mixed feelings about.. I've always liked Christopher but this late in the game and after Luke and Lorelai were doing so well and planning on getting married.. its pretty clear where things are eventually headed.. I'm really not overly fond of the whole April subplot and that seems to still be a big part of things for Luke's part of this season, ah well. Lane should be back soon, and I think that she is one of the pregnancies the writers alluded to (2 babies, 1 wedding)!! I swear if the wedding is a fake-out like its for Kirk or something or Emily & Richard renewing vows I'll be so mad.. then again I really hope Rory doesn't marry Logan.. Matt Czuchry is charming but I don't think she and Logan are meant to be.. Then again I'm a big Jess/Rory fan.. even if Alexis and Milo split and he said he won't do another GG episode.. I can still hope. I don't mind 11th hour reunions.. hello Eric and Donna on That '70s Show!

I didn't really consider the finale of GG last season to be a cliffhanger so I wasnt like dying to see what happened per se.. just anxious to see my Girls again!

On the other hand.. One Tree Hill, in true OTH style ended with a devastating finale.. Rachel & Cooper going off the bridge and Nathan diving in to help.. the only comfort was I figured they wouldn't just kill off Nathan... the James Lafferty fans would riot.. Rumors lately seem to indicate Cooper might not make it though Damnitall, hasn't the Scott family lost enough already?? I figured Brooke would break up with Lucas, and as sad as I am for her anyone who knows me knows I'm a Lucas/Peyton fan so I'm hoping things go in that direction and the rumor on that one is that I will be pleased this season! I do NOT like the idea of Rachel fixating on Nathan now.. I mean come on, you already ruined his wedding, how much more damage are you going to do? What happened to trying to change for the better? And why haven't you been arrested?? Anyways.. Karen seems to be acting kind of weird about having Keith's baby and I'm not really sure if that's just me.. Dan is clearly still in love with her but she would never forgive him if she ever finds out that he killed Keith.. The weird thing though is that after Brooke dumped Lucas he asked his mom how she got over Dan stopping loving her (when he went with Deb in college) - and I'm pretty sure Karen said "when I do I'll let you know".. I mean after all the crap he's pulled you can't seriously tell me she still loves him? That would be twisted.

Then there's the whole thing about who else is pregnant? I figured that Rachel was lying to Cooper to try to trick him into staying in a relationship or whatever, plus she's such the drama queen.. and Brooke being pregnant and then breaking up with Lucas would certainly complicate things.. but I already heard that there definitely will be no abortions no matter what - of course they never said there would definitely be a baby though so there could always be a miscarriage - oh god i hope that Karen's baby comes to term, I mean if Brooke or Haley is pregnant they could always try again but I mean Keith is dead.. this is all Karen has left of him, other than the legacy of how he raised Lucas.. The end of the premiere sort of lead us to believe that Brooke is pregnant, but I'm starting to think Ausiello only saw this episode or maybe the first two and didn't actually know who definitively was pregnant.. because it makes way more sense for it to be Haley - I mean she and Nathan already have so many problems.. between the money trouble, getting accepted to different colleges, dealing with Nathan's family.. it's a total mess.. but those two just have to make it.. I mean I can deal if Peyton and Lucas don't end up together but I'll just die if in the end Nathan and Haley don't stay together..

Of the two possibilities, while being with Mouth would be good for Rachel... I'd still rather he got his shot with Brooke finally.. rather than her going for some new or random guy as she is known to do..

Other stuff.. so cool that Antwon/Skillz is finally a part of the regular cast and will be joining the Ravens! Paul Johansen is an amazing actor (and a super nice funny and humble guy as I hung out with him briefly!) and it was seamless how he went from talking normally to Deb to pinning her against that wall threatening her midsentence! I'm starting to think she wasn't the one who painted "MURDERER" on his wall though.. because I hear that someone in the school saw Dan kill Keith.. I dont know if theyre introducing a whole new character or if it will be someone like Mouth.. but I dont think so because Mouth and Jimmy were friends and Mouth wouldnt know to be afraid of Dan and would have told someone else.. it seems unlikely that it could be one of the core cast and theyve kept it a secret all this time.. and it couldnt be Karen, Im fairly certain if she saw that Dan would be dead already..

Poor Peyton, she just can't catch a break (unless you count dating Pete from Fallout Boy!).. Though she will break her leg later this season, and got shot last season.. I mean her mom died years ago, and then she found out she had a birth mom she didnt know about but Ellie had cancer and gave up and died before they really got a chance to know each other.. but Ellie left her a note about a half-brother, Derek (?) who she is going to contact and will be in several episodes.. but there's two different actors credited as Derek so unless they pulled a soap opera switcheroo the first "Derek" is probably actually Peyton's stalker WATCHMEWATCHU.. creepy stuff.. I think she'll catch on if her "half brother" tries to put the moves on her!

I just read that Brian Greenberg / Jake will not be returning this season - I'm sure thats simply a writing choice and not because he didnt want to do the show.. I think the Jake thing is pretty much over. Someone who MAY return is my buddy Chris Keller!! Tyler Hilton is SO cute and I love his singing! I just hope his return doesn't mark another departure for Haley..

See here's the thing about OTH if anyone is actually reading through this blog (doubtful) one episode is like at least two if not 3 episodes of any other shows.. its got soap opera type developments but they happen quickly so you dont have to wait forever (or suffer through bad acting) to find out what happens.. things are constantly changing and expectations subverted.. its great writing and powerful acting from a talented cast of youth and adults alike.. So there's ALWAYS something to talk about or debate or get worried about.. its the one show every week where you scream because you simply don't know how you can go 7 days before your next fix.. and watching it on DVD isnt even that easy because the episodes are so drama heavy that its often emotionally draining and must be taken in small doses so you don't drive yourself crazy!

And yet I actually DO watch other shows

Tonight is the return of Smallville and Supernatural.. Clark comes back from the Phantom Zone not quite as strong whereas Lex possessed by Zod is quite powerful, and may be able to fly.. looks like he and Lana will finally consumate their relationship.. hopefully he's Zod-free when that happens? Will Clark and Chloe ever have a real shot? Now Jimmy Olsen / Aaron Ashmore is in the picture.. and Lois is going to go for the Green Arrow (she previously dug Aquaman so must have a thing for superhero types...) so what about Clark? I mean I know he's still dealing with Jonathan's death and Zod's general chaos but he needs some lovin!

My Winchester boys.. neither of them could be dead.. and if they kill the dad thats just like abruptly ending a plot that hadn't really resolved itself.. My hopes are high that season 2 will be more coherent than season 1's early monster of the week premise held together by the underlying plot of tracking down their father.. I hope they dont go too far with expanding the cast - I like the idea of the brothers just relying on each other.. though I hear Dean is going to have a steady girlfriend - I dont see how that works because of all the traveling they do - unless she tags along? We'll see..

Oh, about the new shows.. jury's still out on Studio 60 but I'll keep watching because I love Sorkin and Matthew Perry.. and HEROES could potentially be very cool, I have apprehension about it becoming somehow lame - and whats the deal with Ali Larter's power? I don't consider someone whose reflection can slaughter people to be much of a hero (leaving out the single mom stripper aspect..) and Adrian Pasdar was totally Jim Profit.. he's hopefully a lot less corrupt in this And MILO!! Enough said.. so I'll keep watching...

Going home now to watch Scrubs - no new episodes till January - boo!
