I went to a sports bar in Dubai last night hoping to catch some of the morning college games and what did they have? Soccer. Yes, soccer. Now soccer is good but they had over 10 screens in there and surely they could have had at least 2 screens on ESPN. Still, it was a good night 'cause I got to hang out with my friends. I haven't gotten to do that in a while due to work.

I need to find a place here that shows games. I don't wanna pay for satellite or cable TV 'cause I know it would just go to waste; I'm hardly ever home long enough to get my money's worth.

Yes, the inevitable is happening. I've been talking to my friend and it looks like I'll be getting back into FFXI. For one thing, I will actually save money by playing FFXI cause I won't have to buy a game every month like I do now. Also, I don't have to upgrade my PC for FFXI. Yea, it goes against my nature not to buy the latest and greatest in PC gaming but my financial status has me in a strangle hold.

The strange thing is that I don't really hate my job. Although I work nearly 8 hours straight, it is fairly entertaining (I work in e-mail and live chat support for a web hosting company) and I must admit, I seem to be learning a fair amount regarding DNS issues, domain name registration and all sorts of web hosting related topics. It's definitely something that I could work with. I need to keep my skills polished and update them whenever possible (much like the Sims, actually) so that, hopefully, I can get a fat raise or even a promotion by the time my one year with the company rolls around.
