I've been really dissapointed lately on how the next generation video games simply don't look "next gen". They're a handful of games that are really pushing to fully take advantage of the hardware it will be running on. But for the the games that are being made for next generation consoles that can run on a current generation system, why put it on a next-gen system? This simply doesn't make any sense to me at all. For instance, Tony Hawk's American Wasteland.

Does this game even look like its worthy of being called a next generation video game?
Another example. Dog Tag.

Maybe they'll look better by the time they get released, but this is just a couple of examples of games that I think should just be slapped onto current generation systems. Maybe my expectations are just too high, but after seeing the Ghost Recon 3 & Morrowind screenshots for the Xbox360, I'm pretty sure you'll see why I have such high expectations of next generation consoles.

When I pay $400 for an XBOX 360, your damn right I'm expecting graphics that are worthy of all 400 of my hard-earned dollars. I usually will not play a game if the graphics (of the time) suck.
The same goes for audio as well.
Have you saw the teaser tech demo for FF7? Perhaps the industry should take a hint from the pleading of gamers to remake the original FF7 as to what kind of graphics we want................Or from the exquisite detail of FF: Advent Children.................
