When i moved house last December, like most people, i lost a few items in the move. I've only noticed a few things are missing, but I have probably lost more than i realise.
The most noticeable thing i lost was 'The Boy with the Arab Strap' by Belle and Sebastian. This really annoyed me, and although it would be easy to go out and buy another one, i was dead against it. Its the principle of it, right? I'd already bought it, and i know as soon as i buy another cd the original will show up.
Anyway, much to my pleasure, a friend at work had his own copy with him yesterday. I quickly made a copy of it on the computer at work so i could listen to it as i surfed the internet, i mean worked.
I had forgotten just how good it was. I mean i knew it was good you just can't forget that, but in one year of not hearing any songs from it, i had forgotten how traffic stopping-ly amazing it is.
Plain to say, this has totally got me into a Belle and Sebastian mood and just at the right time as i'm going to seeing them in January in Glasgow. I can hardly wait.
Moral of the story: good things come to those who wait. Wait, that's the Guinness logo, ah who cares, i'm just so happy.
