Remember back to how I said that Last Of The Summer Wine (LOTSW) was taking the mick with how long it was taking to come out... Well I think someone up there who releases them actually read my blog, Series 5 & 6, 7 & 8, 9 & 10, 11 & 12, 13 & 14 and 15 & 16 have finally been announced for release, so what does this mean? Well it means that although I wanted them out I didn't want them to come suddenly like that, they are now releasing them 3 months apart, (Don't forget they release 2 season in each boxset) so now they only have another 10 season to release.

Did you see that on Lost?!?! The Smoke?!?! What the hell was that? I loved it that is my fave scene now from the entire show. Loving it, bring it on with the other episodes and seasons.

So with them probably listening to what I said "Release all the things I want on DVD please."

P.S. When does Torchwood series 2.1 come out?

Of course, with not many DVD's left to collect of shows that have finished of what I collect I'm pondering what to get next.

Ok so there are many great shows out there now but do we have an end date for them? Look at Prison Break, seriously, how long can that keep going for? Lost has a definitive end date of another 2 seasons after series 4.

Good shows that should get a second series or at least a chance to finish, of course I'm talking about Journeyman & the quickly canned after 6 episodes filmed Drive.

Talking of "Canned" With the Writers Strike in America still going it looks like the Bionic Woman has had the dreaded axe fall on it, so it seems. That's after only 8 episodes as well, will more Freshman shows end up this way? Actually could this happen to older shows also?

With news coming out of Sliders series 4 on DVD finally, the fact still remains that even with only one more series left to release on DVD & That it's taken over a year from series 3 to even think of bringing it out on DVD will it end up the same way Boy Meets World did, where they released three series on DVD then stopped them even though there was only what? Five more series to release? Now I'd have collected that.

Thinking about it will Last Of The Summer Wine, which has scheduled so far nearly 30 seasons will they release them all? Not many people buy it, but those few who do would like every season on DVD.

The Writers Strike is causing a fair few "Changes" shall we say, Smallville series 7 has only roughly 18 episodes this season, Scrubs is being asked to finish on 12 episodes instead of the 18 it was promised for this its 7th and final series.

Also Lost has been brought forward from an April series 4 start to a Jan or Feb start. Just for fill in the gaps left by shows finishing early because Scripts weren't ready to film episodes and Lost has as far as known all 16 episodes of series 4 done.

Two of the main things that have prospered during this strike is Reality/Game shows, which don't get me wrong I do like, include shows like The Apprentice, The Amazing Race and Don't Forget The Lyrics. However this also means that The Amazing Race is currently accepting applications for its 13th season as it's not scripted yet might be needed by April or even directly after series 12 ends, series 12 of course wasn't going to be shown until April 2008, but it's had to be shown now because of the strike.

So with this strike does that mean we're left with just half finished seasons? Heroes only had 12 episodes this season and that's season 2!!! What will 2008 bring? Prison Break 3 1/2? Lost 3 1/2? with only 1/2 a season done of literally all top named shows surely they shouldn't call it their full season and of course they'll make you pay full price for the box-set even though it's only a half a box-set, then what? A full schedule of either old stuff, realities or stuff brought from other countries?

Finally I'm going to leave you with one question...

Could 2008 be the year TV died?

Ok so for those of you who know me will know that I'm a big DVD fan and I have well over 1000 DVD's well, I reported that Last Of The Summer Wine (LOTSW) was taking it's time to come out on DVD, well finally the series 5 and 6 box-set has been given a release date, so now not only is LOTSW on it's 27th series doesn't it amaze you how something like [Scrubs] is released about a month after it's been shown on TV where as LOTSW although, granted, it couldn't be released a month after it had been shown as DVD's weren't around 33 years ago, but I'd have thought that with them having all the episodes anyway they could have released a 2 series box-set every 2nd month, to sort of catch up, why is it that the big TV shows of America get a release over here quite quickly, however our own shows they don't seem to care about? It doesn't make sense, don't get me wrong I don't mind the fact that my shows I collect that are American come out quickly I.E. 24, CSI & Scrubs to name but a few, however shows that are English I.E. LOTSW, Allo Allo & Dad's Army seem to be taking ages, is this the state we've gotten ourselves into the fact that although American shows are granted filmed better then ours but our comedies are great that even the Americans are buying them to watch, Why is it that the Americans haven't stepped in and started help with releasing our classic shows? Playback/Universal is who is releasing the LOTSW DVD's I think I need to start talking to them to tell them that they should really get releasing stuff as I'm spending my time ranting and raving to you and it really shouldn't be you I am venting off at... Well I'm going to go and leave you in peace for a bit again, until I feel like venting again about something close to my heart that I feel I need someone to sound off to when I can't really sound off to my friends as they won't listen without listening to my full argument first... She is an English and female version of I would say Jim Carrey she is brilliant... I love her she is attractive and she can make you laugh and cringe with her humour. What more can you want from a comedienne? Check her out in "Feel The Force" On...
