Was looking at games like Army of Two and Kane & Lynch. Now I know for a fact Kane & Lynch is not online co-op but not sure about Army of Two but heard there is no online co-op either.
Now I don't care if a game is or isn't an exclusive to a certain console...but every game that is boasting a co-op expierience MUST have online co-op over Xbox Live & PSN there is no excuse. Now I dunno if it is lazy programming or what but I just can't understand how these games don't have it. Gears and Halo have them but they are Xbox exclusives..why can't multiplatform do the same?
Just my little rant for the time being...Do you agree? comment.
Gears of War was a game I had been waiting for since I seen the first screen shot of it back in '05. The hype kept increasing and my expectations for the game kept increasing. Once it was released, the game blew my mind and I love every piece of it. It has been given fantastic ratings across the board from reputable game review sites, won all kinds of awards and sold millions of copies.
Now, when I hear people call this game over rated it blows my mind. Maybe the singleplayer was short but what shooter lasts more then 10-15 hours? (only one comes to my mind atm is Bioshock...which isn't out yet). I feel that games that have built alot of hype like Gears and Halo get a huge fanbase but then get a big "anti-fanbase" of people that like to bash the game just because of all the hype it recieves. This to me makes no sense.
You can't deny a games quality when its staring everyone in the face and the number of sales show. Maybe these types of games are just not your cup of tea...but thats no reason to say a game is overrated. Just because a game thas well recieved is not the type of game I like, doesn't mean I don't respect it for what it is and what it does. Like for instance Oblivion, I played it and the game just isn't for me...but doesn't mean the game is overrated in my eyes...just not my flavor.
I dunno, just felt like getting that off my chest. Lemme know what you'se think.
