Hey everyone!
Long time no see right? Well, I figured it was about damn time I popped back in here to see if anyone still remembered me. How is everyone?
Anyways, I am using a different internet browser (Firefox ftw!) so assuming that what happened with Windows Internet Explorer doesn't happen anymore, I might actually come back here more often...
Anyway, on the gaming front my collection has drastically shrunken (I'm avoiding trying to bring my Gamespot collection up to date because it will sadden me), but I have picked up a few new games since my last appearence. My most recient pick ups are Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena, Resident Evil 5, Monopoly, Street Fighter 4, Guitar Hero Aerosmith (for the second time, because I got a really good deal on a free guitar with purchase), Buzz PS3 and Pokemon Platnum. I have a bunch of games socked away as part of the Game Days sale at Gamestop that I will pick up when my my refund checks come through.
One thing that has been really tough to deal with over the past month is the fact that I have literally been broke for the past month. When I say broke, I mean I have had a negative ballence in my checking account since March 3rd because of Bank of America screwing me over repeatedly. Luckily, that will change next week since I will be getting just over $1000 due to my tax refund, a paycheck that I can finally keep, my parents sending me $50 and my refund from my student loan. So in short, after a month of struggling, I will finally be able to enjoy things again.
Another major change in my world is the fact that I will be beginning an internship for Walt Disney World starting May 20th. It will be awesome because I will get to live on Disney property, get paid to work there, get free admission to the parks and so much more. The biggest boon is the fact that I will be working a minimum of 30 hours a week, which is drastically better than what I am getting at Gamestop right now. So, at this point, it looks like my days working for Gamestop are numbered. I'm going to try to talk to my manager and see if I can be kept on the schedule as on call or something until my internship ends, then come back afterwords, but more than likely that won't work out.
In terms of videos, I have really begun to make a ton of them on my YouTube profile. I have started my own webisode series entitled The Thrill Seekers that is basically the ultimate theme park survival guide. I have already gone through one complete season (check the playlist on my profile to see it) and Season 2 just started up last Friday. It's a really exciting project and it will continue very strongly throughout the year, especially once I start working at Disney. I've also made a bunch of music videos using clips from movies that are doing pretty well, including one that is very close to 3,000 views. I've also made a couple short films, one of which is currently being re-edited for YouTube and will hopefully be up fairly soon. BigCTV is now also on YouTube, so you can check out the couple new episodes I made there as well.
Once I get out of college, I am hoping to try to get into the film industry and become a director/actor. This is the kind of stuff I want to spend the rest of my life doing and from what I've done so far, I can't wait to try my hand at bigger challenges...
So yeah, that is pretty much what is going on in the world of BigC43. Like I said, I will try to pop on here a bit more often from now on since Gamespot does appear to work fine using Firefox. Anyway, I look forward to reading your comments and I will see you all later!
