So far.. massive dissapointment. I played a TON of 1942 back in the day, and 1943 is basically a stripped down version of it. Somehow, EA managed to revive an old game and make it feel even older.
I'm going to give it a bit more time before throwing in the towel, but so far I can say that it has done nothing to fix many of the worst problems that were in 1942. Infact, it's managed to magnify all of them. The class balance issues are definitely a big concern. Weapons that feel like Nerf guns have got to go. Grenades with splash damage of about 1 foot are irratating. Tanks that take a full 5 seconds of machine gun fire to kill infantry, can barely kill infantry with the heavy gun, and pop almost instantly when driving into enemy territory. Not too mention the most awkward control scheme in the history of ever for a console FPS.
Even for a cheap $15 game I still feel like I got robbed. Somehow it's ok to release crap if you are going to sell it for a crap price.
