I obtained6 things on Amazon a few days ago. Four of them I had my eye on. So let's get to the stuff that I had my eye on first.
First, the games.

Uh-huh. You remember me mentioning this. In fact, you saw Singe the dragon that I sketched straight from a gameplay screenshot. You know who created this. Don Bluth. My favorite film director. He used to work for Disney, did The Secret of NIMH, yadda, yadda, yadda. You know the drill. Plus, I am very anxious to play this game on my computer. So, because I got this...

I got the sequel, and no, the picture you're seeing is not the copy I got. What I got was the version that iscompatable with Windows XP. The Nostalgia Critic mentioned this game in his top 11 nostalgic mind****s, and you know what? I saw this game played the whole way through on YouTube and I have to agree. This game is just screwed up, even for an arcade game. You escape your insane mother-in-law, you go through Wonderland mistaken for Alice, and eventually, you end up in Beethoven's house who's performing the 5th Symphony. Is this Dragon's Lair? Or is this a completely different game with different scenarios relating to pop culture? That aside, at least it plays the same, it's a blast to watch, and it's intense. Don Bluth, you are THE MAN!!!
Last in the games is something that I need to try out...

Fantavision. As you can possibly guess by the cover, this game is about fireworks, so this game was made as pure eye candy for any PlayStation 2 owner. If you lost count of my PS2 collection, this makes the 186th game. 14 more and I'll be at 200. GO ME!!!
OK, now for the movies...

Once Upon a Forest. Now let me say this...I think this movie is better than FernGully, and no, that is not sarcasm. I thought FernGully was mediocre at best, mind you. The animation is nice, but if there's one thing that FernGully doesn't have, it's Phantom of the Opera's Michael Crawford, and Phantom is one of my favorite musicals, mind you. So, as you guessed, this is an environmental film. I can understand that since this came from the same studio that made FernGully. Plus, it reminds me of an animal version of Stand By Me, only it's G-rated, and instead of a dead body, it's a race to find a cure for their dying friend. Don't ask. After seeing the movie Stand By Me, I was highly interested in material like this.
Now before I move on, I have to tell you that afriend of mine has this DVD, and it is pretty special for a damn good reason. The DVD copyhe had was signed by the cast as well as William Hanna and Joseph Barbera themselves. I'm pretty sure it's also singed by producer and creator David Kirschner, the same guy responsible for theAmerican Tail seriesand the Child's Play series (WTF?).
OK, moving on.

Heavy Traffic. This is a different kind of animated movie, because it was directed by the same guy that did Cool World (which sucked). That, and it's an R-rated comedy. This movie did catch my eye, because it kind of reminds me of The Nine Lives of Fritz the Cat, only humans are involved and not animals. No, I do not support beastiality, nor do I want to even think about it...it sickens me...

Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. I already own Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children in my DVD collection, so because I was thinking about that, I knew something in my DVD collection was missing. This would be it. I like Final Fantasy as a great game franchise (FFIX still remains my favorite, thank you), and I know thatboth Spirits Within and Advent Children were great films. So, I gotta have this movie in my collection somehow.
So that's all I got from my Amazon shopping spree. Peace out.

Sorry to know that you're colorblind. As for FF: SW, it looks like a really great sci-fi epic. I especially like the animation style. It looks realistic.
It's only certain colours I have trouble with.

I though The Spirits Within was alright. Not great, but alright. Of course, I was never a FF fan, so it's not like I could be disappointed with how distant the movie may be from the games.
