Anyone read books? This movie would be based on a book by the author of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. James and the Giant Peach, an animated musical by the director of The Nightmare Before Christmas, would have to be one of the best animated films of all time.
The story starts with James Trotter, a young boy who is now an orphan that lives with his two evil aunts Sponge and Spider, until he came across a mysterious traveller that tells him about what he has in a bag, known as Crocodile Tongues which contain magic powers. He tripped and almost all of the crocodile tongues except for one that goes into a peach that has grown into an extremely large size, which is just as good as playing "Katamari Damacy" on the PS2. He eats a part of a peach and a tunnel appears. As he climbs in, he changes into animated form, and meets the bugs that live in the peach. Together, their destination is New York City, James' dream place.

The movie's animation is freakin' gorgeous! The voice acting is very nicely done, and what you're left with is a compelling story that inspired millions. So overall, this movie is a must-see for young and old alike.

Ah, I love fantasy stories. They're great. Harry Potter, Redwall, and others with sword-clashing, tear jerking, and other crap like that. This movie, based on the best-selling novel by J.R.R. Tolkien, takes the cake. The Fellowship of the Ring is the first part in The Lord of the Rings trilogy that takes place after the events in the prologue known as "The Hobbit". The movie starts off with a flashback of what started the battle of Middle-Earth. Then we transition over to Bilbo Baggins, a hobbit who found the Ring in Gollum's mountains. He lives in a little hobbit town with his nephew, Frodo, the hero of the whole story. During a ceremony celebrating Bilbo's 111th birthday, he makes an announcement, and a mysterious one, No one knew that he was possessing the ring. He then disappeared into thin air with the ring (which is the magic power it possesses), and rushes back to his home to start packing. Gandalf the Grey, who earlier arrived to the party with fireworks, convinced him to leave the ring behind. When Bilbo left, Frodo then discovers the ring. Gandalf then heads out to answer some questions about the ring. When he returned, he told Frodo everything about the ring. The "One Ring" originally belonged to Sauron, an evil warlord who made the ring, and with that exact ring, he would conquer Middle-Earth. He is now an eyeball on the top of a tower in the land of Mordor, searching for the ring, and KILL the one that has it. Frodo's mission was to DESTROY the One Ring, because the ring was stirring with evil, and would cause nothing but trouble and war.

Okay, so the movie is an epic fantasy film. The graphics are quite stunning and leave an "OH MY GOD" feeling on your face. The acting was also excellent. Famous actors star in this movie such as Elijah Wood, Andy Serkis, Orlando Bloom, and Jonathan Parks Jordan.
The action is stunning as well with great epic battle sequences, that will make you go "Woot! Woot! Woot!". So without further ado, here's my result:

Johnny Depp has always been a great actor in movies such as Sleepy Hollow and Secret Window. Pirates, however, is one theme that Johnny Depp does best. Pirates of the Carribean is a scallywag film that is wildly popular based on the original Disney park attraction. The movie starts like this:

A young maid named Elizibeth was dreaming about the man she saved named William Turner (played by Orlando Bloom from The Lord of the Rings), and remembered the medallion he had around his neck. She still had the medallion. She now wonders about the mystery of the medallion. What could it mean? She didn't know that the medallion was cursed aztek gold, and cursed the crew on a legendary ship called the Black Pearl.

Okay, so the movie is an epic film about pirates, sexy maids, and other crap you might know if you've been on the attraction in Walt Disney World. The movie is great, not perfect, but great. The movie has a good sense of humor, and is somewhat "interesting". The graphics are just great, and are well done, especially if you're a pirate with no skin. The movie's actors do excellent work and fit in with the movie quite well. Johnny Depp plays Captain Jack Sparrow who saves Elizibeth when she fell off the ledge. Also, Orlando Bloom from The Lord of the Rings trilogy is here to have all of the fun, especially sword fighting with Johnny Depp. Yes, the movie is quite entertaining for the naked eye, and for the pirate in you.

The movie isn't perfect, but it's close. There are JUST a couple flaws, but the movie makes it up with laughter and humor. Overall, this movie will leave you saying "That's intresting..."

Monty Python is a British comedy group that is famous for its slapstick humor. In 1975, they did a movie relating to the story of King Arthur. The movie was far-out the funniest slapstick comedy movie ever in the history of movie making. The movie is based on the King Arthur tale, and is retold Monty Python style. Here's the story:

Arthur, king of the Britains wants to hire certain warriors to go to the castle of Camelot. However, when they arrived, they thought of what would happen when they entered by performing the "Camelot" song. They decided not to go to Camelot, but then, God appeared in the sky that commands Arthur and his knights to search for the Holy Grail. They agreed to embark on their "mystical" quest to search for it. They hearby call themselves The Knights of the Round Table, and began their adventure.
Now then, the movie is no doubt a slapstick comedy of the original story, thanks to the people of Monty Python and has a wide variety of jokes, ripoffs, and animated cut-aways that will make you beg for more. The most funniest part is the famous "Sir Robin" bit. The movie is crude and sometimes rude, but you would just laugh and laugh until you pee in your pants.
The animated scenes are pretty good and go frame-by-frame, just as they did on South Park. The acting is great and entertaining as any Monty Python movie would be. The movie is old, but a classic nonetheless. Overall, this is a movie that Monty Python fans will enjoy.

Now you've probably wondered where holidays come from.
If you haven't, I say it's time you begun...

Tim Burton has made loads of films lately. Mostly ones with Johnny Depp such as Corpse Bride and Sleepy Hollow. But in 1993, a box office hit landed into theaters that was the #1 animated film in the US. The Nightmare Before Christmas is a clash between Halloween and Christmas, really but is perfect for both holidays. Here's the story:
Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King, and ruler of Halloween Town wanted to find more things that can make children scream on Halloween, because every Halloween is the same old thing. He then discovers magic doors that lead to different holiday worlds. The one that got him was the Christmas Door, which is shaped like a Christmas Tree. As he opened the door, a strange wind pulled him in. He was filled with joy, when he saw the sights and sounds of Christmas Town. He decided to make his own Christmas with the help of the citizens of Halloween Town. This puts Santa Claus, the ruler of Christmas Town in jeopardy, until Oogie Boogie captures him and makes plans to torture Santa Claus. Can Jack make a great Christmas for the world, or would he make it horrible and rescue Santa Claus from Oogie's clutches.
The movie is wildly popular in the early and late 90s, and it still is today. Buena Vista decided to make a game out of it with the help of Devil May Cry & Dead Rising developer Capcom. The game itself continues the story from where the movie left off. There was also merchandise that was sold in Disney parks and sometimes in local stores.
Okay, now that we have that covered, it is now, *drumroll* REVIEW TIME!!!
Okay, the animation is done in Stop-Motion (or frame-by-frame pictures put together), which took 2-3 years to get done. To tell you the truth, it was worth every minute of it. The voice-acting is tremendous. Chris Sarandon (Child's Play), Catherine O'Hara (Home Alone), and Paul Reubens (Pee Wee's Big Adventure) provide the voices of many characters. The music is well done and well orchestrated by Sleepy Hollow conductor Danny Elfman. He also provides the singing voice of Jack Skellington. The movie is 76 minutes long, and can be quite entertaining for everyone. If you haven't seen this movie, please PICK THIS MOVIE UP!

For the record, I didn't know what I was saying on my last review of this, so here's my REAL review of The Aristocats.

The movie is about a mother cat named Dutchess and her three kittens who were living a happy life in a rich woman's mansion. The butler named Edgar (and the antagonist of this movie) of the mansion decides to kidnap Dutchess and the kittens while they were sleeping, all for the sake of money. So, he kidnaps them at night, and they fall out of his motorcycle under a bridge. The next morning, they come across Thomas O'Mally, a singing cat played by Phil Harris, and they team up to get back to Paris and back to their owner.

However, they can't go all the way back home in one day on foot, so they have to rest in an abandoned building, where they meet the trumpet-playing cat named Scat Cat and his band of musical rogues, one who plays piano and drums, one that plays a cello, one who looks like a '60s animal version of John Lennon that plays guitar, and one that plays a concertina (a small-sized accordion). So they nap and the spend the rest of the day walking back to Paris.

Now the film really has a good storyline, despite what I said a long time ago (that was old news people). It's kind of like an animated, crazier version of Homeward Bound, without all the drama and all that.

Oh yeah, did you know that the people who wrote the songs were the Sherman Bros.? The same Sherman Bros. who wrote the songs for both Mary Poppins and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang? Now you do. A bit of film history, for ya.

This is a movie I would gladly reccomend to kids and adults who love animals (or music-playing animals for that matter) or are in the mood for an animated romp of fun. Adults who've seen this film back in the 70s or when they were children will get nostalgia from watching this. Overall, I refrain from giving it 1 1/2 stars, because I was an idiot for doing it, and I now give it 4 1/2 stars.

Creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone have had a lot of time to make this movie a few years before the debut of Team America: World Police, but this time, they've gone off the edge with a comedy film you can't stop watching. South Park: Bigger, Longer, & Uncut is a musical comedy film that features the original South Park cast and a few extra guests such as George Cloony as the doctor operating on Kenny. The film is about the four boys of South Park: Kenny McKormic, Eric Cartman, Kyle Broflovski, and Stan Marsh, who go to see an R-rated film called Terrance & Phillip: Asses of Fire. The four boys get in the theater and watched the film, and the movie had loads of F-bombs. They somehow get "corrupted" and start saying the swear words used in the film, and sang the song called "Uncle F*&#@r". Kyle's mother was quite outraged at the language and cruel re-enactments the children were doing and the US waged war on Canada. The four boys must team up with the other children to stop armageddon.
The movie has won a world record for "Most Swearing in an Animated movie", as seen in the Guiness Book of World Records 2001 edition. The movie contained 399 swear words, 178 offensive gestures, and 221 scenes of violence, which no doubt gave the movie an R-rating by the MPAA. The descriptors say "Pervasive Vulgar Language, Crude & Sexual Humor, and Violent images." The movie was a box-office hit in 1999. Now to the review:
The movies graphics are amazing. With the help of Japanese technology, they created alternate graphic effects such as explosions. The movie's animation is more of the same thing as the show itself. The music, well orchestrated. The movie is a musical and the songs are quite hilarious. The movie's voice-overs are the same as the show, only the doctor is voiced by George Cloony. The movie lasts 81 minutes and has loads of swearing and crude remarks. The movie is a great example of how to make a box office, animated film. If you don't believe me on the world record bit, read the Guiness World Records book 2001 edition. This movie is a must see for all South Park fans alike.

You might remember Scary Movie 1-4. Yes, that movie where they make fun of other scary films like Saw, The Exorcist, and other stuff like that. Two of the writers of Scary Movie have created yet another masterpiece that is Epic Movie. Epic Movie is all about making fun of epic films like Legally Blonde, Pirates of the Carribean, and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, only in a comedic way. The movie starts with 4 orphans who happen to find candy bars and obtain a "Golden Ticket", and were invited to go to the factory that makes the candy bars. When they arrived, then comes the parody of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The orphans find out that the candy is made out of body parts and are to stay there and get tortured by Oompa-Loompas (or so they call themselves). They escape and somehow find a wardrobe (which is a parody of Narnia), and enter through. They then get told that the White **** (or the White Witch in parody speaking) is reaking havoc in the land of Gnarnia (with a G like Gnarly). The 4 orphans must team up and face parodies of famous films and so-called peril to stop the White **** from taking over Gnarnia. Now then, the movie is flat-out funny, nonetheless. You got parodies of epic adventure films and some TV spoofs put in, and some crazy stuff. You know the routine (if you've seen the Scary Movie series), first they get serious, then it falls apart with comedy that will make you laugh so hard, you can't breath. The movie's graphics are excellent for parody purposes, just like what Mad TV does. There is really nothing wrong with this movie. If you love comedies and really want something with a kick, this is the movie for you.

Remember Reservoir Dogs? Yeah, the one with those guys that were robbing a jewelery store, but somehow had a big flaw? Well, this movie's kinda like that, only better. After Reservoir Dogs, director Quentin Tarantino decided to do something with more action and more kick. That movie was Pulp Fiction. The movie stars John Travolta (Grease), Samuel L. Jackson (The Incredibles), Uma Therman, and of course, Quentin Tarantino. The movie makes a tribute to the less "classic" non-stop action film genre and will please anyone who want's a roundhouse kick-to-the-face film, Tarantino style. Now the movie has great graphics and features a lot of famous celebrities as well as a special appearence by Bruce Willis. The bad thing is...well...nothing in praticular. The graphics are realistic and amazing and leaves an "OH MY GOD!" feeling on your face. The bad thing is that on one of the scenes where the characters are in the car, the background is black-and-white, if you look closely.
However, the music, oh, you just can't get enough of it. Kool & the Gang's "Jungle Boogie" is featured on the film along with some other classic jams. Now where have I seen that before? *Little Green Bag from Reservoir Dogs plays* Oh yeah. So to tell you the truth, this movie is an R-rated film, no doubt, and has loads of F-bombs just like the South Park movie. So seriously, I'd reccomend this movie to anyone who loves Samuel L. Jackson AND John Travolta. To tell you the truth, they make a good duo. And remember, don't be a square.

If you've seen the previous Pixar films, you might tell that they're entertaining to watch. Finding Nemo however, is one of those films. Finding Nemo is more than an average fish story. Here's how it goes:

After the deaths of Marlin's wife and most of his children, one suddenly survives. That young one is Nemo. Now during a school day, Nemo and his friends discover a strange figure floating on the surface. It's a boat but to them, it's called a "butt". Nemo was dared to touch it but his father Marlin, stops him. Nemo then swims away from his father and goes to touch the boat. Marlin keeps commanding him not to go near it, but Nemo touches it anyway. When Nemo was swimming back, a scuba-diver captures Nemo and Marlin tries to free him but fails. Then he meets Dory, a female fish with a symptom called "Short-term memory loss". Dory then convinces Marlin to travel with him and find his son. Hence, Dory and Marlin embarks on an adventure to find Marlin's lost son.
Now the whole review,
The graphics in the movie are far-out fabulous and artistic. The movie's looks are realistic. The bad thing is...well...nothing really.
Next is the voices. The movie stars Ellen DeGeneres (host of her own show and featured on Comedy Central), Geoffrey Rush, and Andrew Stanton, who wrote the script for Toy Story and Monsters, Inc. The voices are fabulous. The bad thing is that the voice acting could have been better, but hey, you don't expect Andrew Divoff from Wishmaster to be in the movie. The environments are what you would expect from a fish story. The bad thing is that the environments look a little bland. The movie is between 90-120 minutes and is a catch for people who want an action/adventure film with a sense of humor.
Overall, the movie is not perfect, but it still takes the fishcake. Dig in.

Disney's Robin Hood is more than a kid's film. It's a work of art. This animated film is based on the original Robin Hood story, only replaced with animals to make the movie look interesting. The story is somewhat the same as the original. Robin Hood (played as a fox) takes from the rich and gives to the poor, really. In this movie, he takes the rich from a greedy king that sucks his thum a lot after he says "Oh Mommy!", which gives a movie a good sense-of-humor to the story. The wierdest thing about the movie is it's told by a rooster that poses as a minstrel (a person who plays a stringed instrument). The movie's animation is old, but artistic nonetheless. The theme of turning actual characters into animals is somewhat interesting and makes the movie more kid-friendly (hence the G-rating certified by the MPAA), but this movie still has a medieval fantasy theme to it. You got animals with swords, bows, flails, and all that crap put together, but that's what makes this movie fun. The movie is a musical classic, which makes the movie more like the musical play of Redwall. If you've seen the original Robin Hood movie (not this one), this one is more interesting than the other, but so what. I mean you can't resist. In the end, Robin Hood is one of the most innovative animated classics of all time. If you're into the fantasy genre and somehow like musicals, this is the movie for you.

The Lion King 1 1/2 is the so-called "prequel" to the original based off the african musical play. The story is about Timon & Pumbaa when they first meet and somehow mess up the movie for everyone. Yeah, that's about how it went. First Timon lives in the outlands, and his meerkat colony is singing and doing all the work while Timon is lacking off, trying to make the tunnels a better place for his fellow meerkats. Then he runs off to find a place to find his own place to live and encounters Pumbaa the Warthog, who somehow has no friends because of his gas problems, but Timon really doesn't give a care and invites him on his adventure to find a better place to live that he calls "Hakuna Matata" or "Paradise". The movie features Nathan Lane (which you might know from the remake of The Producers), Ernie Sabella, Jerry Stiller, and Matthew Broderick. The movie is a musical, but that doesn't mean it has to be just the characters singing. "Jungle Boogie" from Kool & the Gang is featured in the movie, along with the "Peter Gunn" theme. The movie is full of sidesplitting humor but the only bad thing is the "Hakuna Matata" song, which kind of gets annoying after a while, but it's the jokes and parodies that you need to pay attention to. Overall, this is a great movie for people of all ages to enjoy.

Flushed Away is an animated film starring Hugh Jackman, who plays as Roddy who gets flushed down the toilet by a sewer rat and finds himself in a sewer where sewer rats can run freely and tries to find his way back home and kick the sewer rat back into the sewer where he belongs. The movie is an animated comedy made by the creators of Shrek and Madagascar, and the movie is by far one of the best animated films ever made. The graphics in the movie are great, that it is similar to the movie Chicken Run. The voiceacting is great, and the music is well done. The movie does have songs including "Are You Gonna Be My Girl" by the famous rock band, Jet. The movie also has a great sense of humor and drama, two in one. Overall this movie is a must see film for those who are in the need to see an animated film.
