Out on DVD today is a movie that will join the original Halloween as an annual classic. Every Halloween/horror fan should see this movie.
It's best not to say too much. It's an anthology film like "Creepshow" or "Tales From The Crypt", but with a "Pulp Fiction" structure. 4 stories are interwoven on Halloween night in the same sleepy town of Warren Valley, Ohio. The movie really takes on the customs, rituals, and legends of Halloween. This isn't a movie that simply takes place on Halloween, this is a movie ABOUT Halloween, and it is amazing. The movie is dripping with Halloween from every pore. It's a dream come true for anyone who loves the holiday, and will instantly get everyone in the mood. It's just a beautiful film to look at. Easily one of the best looking horror movies I have seen in a loooooooong time.
It has a great cast - Anna Paquin, Dylan Baker, and Brian Cox, among others. It's wicked and darkly comic, and it's a film that tries to be a horror film when they were fun and exciting. Not like a lot of the movies today. It's not something trying to be overly scary or gory, because it's not, but just be a roller coaster ride that is designed as a huge treat for Halloween and horror fans. This is an annual holiday must!.

12678 - Well, it's a lot of fun. Very well done and atmospheric. Like I said, it's not really bloody or scary. Not that there isn't blood. Lol. It's great Halloween entertainment.

Thanks for the recommendation. I haven't heard of it before and even though I am a big fat wuss when it comes to horror movies, I might make an exception for Halloween.

mafalada - It's been on the shelf at Warners for 2 years. It caused a big controversy for not being released because it's getting huge critical acclaim, and everyone is scratching their heads.
