For months now I have been planning to get a brand new graphics card for my games. I have seen so many powerful cards like Ati radeon X850 and GeForce 6800, but Im afraid to put them in since for graphics cards to run smoothly you need a new power supply. At the moment I have a 270w PSU (Power Supply Unit) when Cnet.com suggested I need like a 400w power supply for the latest cards. There are two problems with that:
1. Power Supply Units are very expensive and cost a good £200! for the biggest supply!
2. You have to take out your existing power supply and take it to the shop with you in order to find a similar sized PSU that can fit in the slot where your original PSU was.
Frustrating or What! I don't know what to do so I have to figure out shall I do this now or wait a while till a new PC comes out.
Here are my Specs:

Intel Pentium 4 2.66Ghz
64mb GeForce MX 420
512mb RAM
100GB hard drive
