Yes, a Wii finally appeared in my house this Christmas, so now I own all the consoles plus my PC. I must admit for as silly as the Wii seems at times it can be quite a bit of fun, and even a bit of exercise. If you've got a Wii and found some really great games (for adults or kids) let me know, there is so much junk out there.

Figured I needed to post a blog sometime since I haven't done so in almost a year. I'll ring in the new year with a hearty hello to everyone out there who cares. Personally I haven't had much to say for the last year. Regardless of what Gamespot believes about 2008 I thought it was severly lacking compared to 2007, at least in the release of games that I like. I found very little to get excited about, and the games that I did play were good, but nothing that was wow crazy like I saw in 2007. I didn't even care about any of the games that made the best of 2008 list. All I can say is that I hope this year is a much better year for my kind of gaming. There are quite a few I'm looking forward to, if they even come out this year (Fear 2, Half-Life episode 3, Ghostbusters, Guild Wars 2, Mass Effect 2, Bioshock 2, and many more) I'm sure I'll end up being dissapointed by many, but hopefully I will remain entertained for another year.

Well I broke down and bought a PS3 yesterday, not so much because I really wanted to play all those great games that are out for the console, haha, but because my HD DVD player just became obsolete. I have a hi-def tv and I want to watch hi-def movies, so now it seems that blu-ray is the only way to do that in the near future. I've been pretty lucky in the past to usually come out on the winning end of these technology wars, but this time I did not, and it really peeves me that these things have to happen. How much money do we as consumers waste on products that don't last because they become obsolete. Whatever, I wanted one anyway, this was just a good excuse.
