It has been exactly one year since HD DVD came out.  I'm so happy that I got one, so I can watch Beside You In Time at least once a week.  Nothing like NIN in HD

I'm getting sick of HDTV owners saying they are fine with regular DVD's over HD-DVD and Blu-ray.  I know that the format war sucks and that you don't want to pick the next Betamax, but you are wasting the potential of your HDTV.  Hell, go back to watching regular cable while you are at it.  Pick up one, and you'll be amazed on how much better they look and how much better they sound.  I guarantee it! 
I do recommend HD-DVD over Blu-ray though.
