Much to my surprise I really enjoyed this film. I'd like to get the major criticism out of the way first; it's predictable. Of course it is. It's a romantic comedy. Show me a highly original romantic comedy. But if you go into it knowing that then...

Show me a highly original romantic comedy. But if you go into it knowing that then I think you'll really enjoy it. I did and I'm not even a fan of the genre. It's fun, it's enjoyable, it doesn't require deep thought and it's good for a laugh. The cast was great too, particualarly Patrick Dempsy. My one real complaint would be the British stereotypes. Is that how the rest of the world really views Scotland?

It was pretty good, and this is coming from someone who normally hates rom coms. In fact, I only saw it because my friend wanted to see it. I was pleasantly surprised. Ok, so it was a bit predictable, but what rom com isn't? The point is that it...

Ok, so it was a bit predictable, but what rom com isn't? The point is that it was enjoyable, and the two leads were great together. It's probably ones of the best ones I've seen in ages. I'd definitely recommend it to someone for a bit of light hearted fun.

This film was fantastic! It was different from what I was expecting in that it explored much more of the emotional side of the situation than a lot of films of that genre do, which was surprising, but in a good way. I felt what it must really have been like to be the last person left alive thanks to Will Smith's fantastic performance. It was so much more intelligent and emotional than I thought it would be. And I know people have been divided about the ending but I think it was the right way to end this film. Can't wait to see it again.

Carmine Giovinazzo is definitely a great actor. I've only seen him in CSI: NY but you don't really need to see anything else to know that. Some people have said that he's wooden. I don't agree with that at all. He's one of the few actors who don't need lines to express what they're feeling. You can see it all in their face. In my opinion, he's one of those people along with Joaquin Phoenix. He plays a great part in CSI and just draws you in to what ever is going on in the episode. He can also carry off an episode almost by himself. In one episode (I think it was Outside Man) he was the lead in the case and I never once felt that it wasn't right.
I think he'll continue to be one of my favourite actors, especially if he continues to act as well as he does in CSI: NY.

Orlando Bloom is obviously really good looking. There are probably loads of people who would agree with that. But he's also a great actor. I don't think he would have had the success he has had from just being good looking. He's been in some great films, playing absolutely brilliant characters. And the success he has had has been incredible. After one film everybody knew who he was and he hasn't just grown complacent from that. I bet he'll continue to be in some great films for many years to come.
He also seems really down to earth and normal, unlike some other actors who have let the fame go to their head. I also like how he seems to be happy in a co-starring role rather than just being the star.
Some people have said that he isn't an A-list star yet, but I think he will be very soon.
