Wow, I have been a member here for quite a while now, and I have never written a blog. I suppose that is what my Blogger, Livejournal, Deviant Art, Facebook, Friendster, Mom Cafe, Inked Nation, Type Pad, and Myspace pages are for.

Usually I don't have enough time to serve anything thoughtful enough for a reader to digest. Honestly, who wants to read about the comings and goings of a Midwest art enthusiast, who spends a large amount of her time enjoying cartoons and kite flying?

One of the most impressive cartoon series to date will air it's final season this fall, and whereas I am sad to know that it will come to an end, my mind is charged with excitement for what these super creatives have in store for the gAang. Will many of our questions be answered? Will Avatar the Last Airbender top itself this season? I don't doubt it. The raw power of each creative that contributed hours and hours of their creative energies towards this epic simply cannot be denied. The best in the game made it what it is...and in turn made some of the most fickle fans. You could easily compare us to Wine Connoisseurs. Each episode is it's own vintage.

Lately I have been getting ready for my trip to the San Diego Comic Con. Even though I am well into my 30s, I plan on cosplaying a secondary character from Avatar the Last Airbender. Creating a costume is much more exciting then sketching wedding place settings, and creating program mock ups. The very last wedding for me this year is quickly approaching, and I don't believe I will ever help another bride after this one...so I find myself procrastinating every day...when I should be minding my deadlines closely. Oh, but painting my face like Smellerbee is much more satisfying. I would pick that over tying endless yards of ribbon into tiny decorations for wedding favors (that most guests will forget at the end of the night anyway )

Other than the obvious Avatar loyalty, I have been religiously volunteering my free time to Avatarspirit.net. ASN is growing every day with new members. Even when there are no new episodes, the site still attracts new fans into it's forum. I am excited to report that the site is approaching it's 4,000th member.

My own "Join Date" anniversary has come and gone. I celebrated by looking over the forum and enjoying some of the many fan artists and writers that share their creativity with the fan community. I also read many of the classic threads that enticed me to become a member in the first place. Those classic threads are wonderful to review. It's amazing how much we would pick the show apart. Sometimes, a fan would pick the story apart so perfectly, they could fashion a solid prediction, and be right.

These triumps made us all look harder into the story. Like comet chasers scanning the skies for celestial wonderment, hoping to be the first to discover a clue like no other. I can't wait to test my detective skills this season! New doors will open...and some will ulitmately close. I will be among the thousands and thousands of fans enjoying the gAang's final chapters.

Good times...good times

Some people just don't have opinions. Like Avatar_Mom.
Avatar_Mom must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could Avatar_Mom possibly have for not rating a single film?
