In honor of the one year anniversary of "The Awakening," yesterday I finally posted my long awaited story called, "The Color of Friendship".
Septermber 21, 2007 was the premiere of the first episode in Avatar's final season in the United States. Throughout the series I have noticed a magnificent amount of true friendship. In this one year anniversary, I'd like to honor this story with my tribute to friendship...
The Color of Friendship
"They say that true friends last a lifetime, their colors so animated and self assuring to any who wander in the vital path that each fleeting foot takes on the sand." A few hours after the war, they realize what true friendship really is. Mild Kataang.

School is keeping me extra busy, as you might be able to see. When I was still not in high school I had so much more time than this. But, alas, here I am awaiting for yet another day of schooling.
I never thought that I could ever be this happy again. No, I'm serious. I'm SPAZZING OUT for tomorrow! Ever since Avatar ended, let me tell you, my life changed. Drastically. My summer started out with me leaving basically everything I had known for a whole new existence in a new place, a new life. My friends and I separated, and I left the school I attended for ten years! Can you believe that?
And then my grandpa (lolo) gets sick on a respirator. My mom and I had to leave China early to go to the Philippines to see him. He's blind. But, happily, he just barely survived.
Then, two weeks after we came back, Avatar ended. It was like I left my entire life behind in the dust, and when high school finally began and I became a nervous freshman, brand new twists and turns erupted from what seemed out of nowhere! I was scared, unsure, and most definitely shy. It was like I was in a trance for the most part, like I could infinitesmally believe my surroundings. I never thought something from my old life would return. For now, I'm a whole new person.
My life is coming back to me now. I'm back and trying to mend things back to the way they used to be because the change impacted me so hard. There are other deeply personal events occuring too that have me hanging on a string that I'd rather not post, but you know the jist of it.
My old life is returning, bit by bit and it's making me come out of the trance gradually. Avatar is coming back. I see my old friends at all these Confirmation meetings again, and my lolo survived. Nothing will ever be the same though, and I'm aware of that, but it's the things that mean the most to you that shape your life and when they suddenly disappear it's like you never existed. Sometimes change can be too overwheming, and just adding to the pressure with personal happenings only make you sink into a translucent dispair.

Will the adventure continue?
Hurricane Ike has now risen to a catagory four. Now this is bad.
For those of you that are not aware of hurricane catagories, let me tell you just how bad they are capable of becomeing...
Catagory One
Winds 74-95 mph/Storm surge generally 4-5 ft above normal.
Catagory Two
Winds 96-110 mph/Storm surge generally 6-8 feet above normal.
Catagory Three
Winds 111-130 mph/Storm surge generally 9-12 ft above normal.
Catagory Four (IKE)
Winds 131-155 mph/Storm surge generally 13-18 ft above normal.
Catagory Five
Winds greater than 155 mph/Storm surge generally greater than 18 ft above normal.
So basically, I've only actually been in catagories one through three. I mean, if three was bad, and five is the worst, what am I supposed to do? Sometimes these things can knock down buildings and rip parts of them off. I've seen it in just a three! And don't forget about all that water that usually comes with these, and even tornados. It's pretty freaky to think about. But hey, I like the possibility of not having school, but if this thing hits us, I want it to degrade to a three or two. (But guess what? Where I live, it looks like we might be next.)
