GAMES: GameSpot GameFAQs MOVIES: Metacritic Movietome Comic-Con

I read today that according to Sony, Activision is just blowing smoke. Sony believes that they should not lower their prices in any way because it's perfectly priced and if they go any lower they'd be losing money. Hmm.

I hope activision drops them. I also hope activision blacklists them, but that's just me wishing Sony would get their head out of their rears. I love ya Sony but your PS3 isn't "in another league from the 360" as has been proven time and again. Sure, you have the ability to produce better graphics but clearly that's not the only thing people want or you guys would be selling like hot cakes. Heck, almost all of the multiplatform games have equal graphics and less issues on the 360.

PS2 made you guys greedy and now you're paying the price.

yup I agree owning both PS3 and 360 I always play my 360 while my PS3 collects dust so I basically paid 400-500 dollars for a expensive dust collector they just don't seem to grasp it they say the system will last 10 years but when the new consoles come out who wants a PS3 when the new xbox comes out or the new sony console it just doesn't have the lasting appeal that PS2 had I don't see any different graphics on both consoles they both perform basically the same (even though their hardwares are different) and the sixias controllers were the worst idea ever and now new motion controls that look exactly like the wii's..sighh I hope sony learns soon I really want to use my 500 dollar dust collector

I own both systems, now it's obvious you prefer the 360 but the price of the PS3 includes a lot of stuff the 360 doesn't, such as free wifi (not a $100 dollar adapter), the PS3 also already has in box rechargeable controller and wire, so you don't have to spend $20 dollars on that, and then $50 for Xbox Live subscription is waved on a PS3 as well. I do prefer the 360, I'm not trying to sound like a Sony fanboy, it's just you have to think rationally here.

Not everyone uses wireless, rechargeable AA batteries seem pretty common these days, and you can get Live for 13months for $40 or less at a lot of places. Then again, $40 is a small price to pay for an online service with people actually playing MP.

Not being a 360 anything, it's just that you have to think that not everyone needs the junk PS3 fanboys keep saying to make their movie player purchase worth it.

@FishSquared: Yes, I do prefer the 360. I prefer it because it actually has given me games that I want to play. The PS3 has less than 15 games that I want to play. That, to me, is completely unjustified as a purchase.

The PS3 may have free Wi-Fi but it's very simple to set up the Xbox with a router for $50 instead of $100. Or run a cable. I have wi-fi on my Xbox and I did not buy that $100 adapter and all it took me was a day's worth of research. As far as a charger, I juse use rechargable batteries that I bought for $10. I use them in my Wii, my Xbox, and my remotes. I'd prefer that over a proprietary charger that only does Sony batteries.

I do agree with you on Live though. I wish it was free. Still, Live is better than PSN as far as quality and $40 a year is nothing.

@Sins-of-Mosin: Exactly. M$ has outrageously priced add-ons, but that's exactly what they are. Add-ons. No reason to buy them unless you -need- them. It's exactly the same as PS3's hard drive. I upgraded to a 120GB for $50 on my 360. If I put 120GB in a PS3, it'd be the exact same price.

Bundles or no, they aren't good justifications for buying a console. If they were, I'd have bought an elite instead of a pro and then eventually an arcade. It's the games that matter, and if Sony loses a big hitter like Activision, it's going to hurt them. I'm more of a Sony fan than an M$ fan overall, but the 360 is simply the better console. Now if they could just permanently remove that pesky RRoD issue...

And also, the Xbox 360 controller is so much better. It was designed for normal adult hands while the PS3 has the same dual shock style from the PS2 with the tiny hands size and the left stick in the wrong spot. And don't even bother to talk about that 'six-axis' bs that even Sony don't support.
