Somebody please let me know when crappy music took over. I don't believe I got the memo. The only thing that plays a larger role in my life than music, is sports. All of a sudden, I turn on a football game or a baseball game, and there is country music EVERYWHERE. The Super Bowl halftime show is Timberlake and Janet Jackson. The Orange Bowl sees Ashlee Simpson get booed off stage. This is the sport of football my friends. Football represents hard hits, aggression, anger, not some girl on stage singing "you make me wanna la la." It pains me to have to change the channel during halftime, but at least i have that luxury.

I don't want much. Just the director of musicology for the sports world to take a look at what is going on. Maybe some AC/DC, maybe some LP, maybe Skindred....I don't care. I understand throwing some jailbait on stage would be great for 60,000 male fans. but, Ashlee makes most men throw up in their mouths a little bit anyway.

Praise the lord/buddha/shiva/whatever for the Girls Gone Wild halftime show.
