One More Time
A strange movie, it's like the Rat Pack got together and made a movie about every genre there was and hopes it sticks. Flat most of the time.

This was actually a compilation of several "Dan August" television show episodes which was turned into a filmed release after Burt Reynolds' star took off. It's not bad but it's also not consistent in it's story, a little convoluted.

The Lady Vanishes
Hitchcock paves the way for a mystery unfolding like an Agatha Christie novel, but with a twist that only Hitch pulls off. Lockwood and Redgrave are excellent as they try to locate the missing Miss Froy. Brilliant and masterful.

The best horror film of all time, according to most critics. Laughton pulls out an Oscar winning performance that has you glued and mesmerized and yet terrified. Brilliant picture, Brando tried to fill Laughton's shoes with the remake but fell short.

Dixiana
Just saw this one again, real cornball, a definite Busby Berkeley wannabe! Fun to watch, the jokes are cliched but still enjoyable. The musical numbers were well done but not as a grand scale like Busbys' were.

Another classic! Gable and Crawford pull you into their world flawlessly. You become entranced as they go through the ups and downs of social acceptance in their relationship. He's climbing the political ladder and she the social one.

Wonderful film with a bunch of rodeo cowpokes and one Senator's daughter played by an enchanting Merle Oberon whose screen prescence lights up every time she sees Gary Cooper. Marvelous comedy/drama with a light heartedness and charm all its own.
