I am so excited about this game. The only thing that would make it better would be if you could even play the songs *packaged* in the first game with the second. But hey, I'm not stupid. I know that will never happen because if they included it, there would be no reason for anyone to buy the first game anymore, and they won't want that... I'm just saying....it would be cool. ![]()
I have to date downloaded a total of 58 songs. I am really glad to see that they'll be compatible with Rock Band 2. Also, I like the songs that have been announced so far from inclusion in the second game. But there's one that makes all the difference in the world to me. Any guesses?
Chop Suey!! I like System of a Down, but I'm not really crazy about all of their stuff, but I love love LOVE that song! I have been saying for ages that I thought it would be an awesome song for Rock Band, and now it's gonna happen. I'm so there!
Plus, I'm glad that there'll be a new band rhythm game out this fall that I won't have to buy a whole new set of peripherals to play. Guitar Hero 4/World Tour (I'm confused...are they different names for the same game, or are they actually gonna try to release two games close together?) isn't gonna be compatible with the Rock Band stuff...and though I'm sure that there are gonna be some great songs for it, I just don't think I'm gonna get it. A) I don't wanna spend that kind of money on something so similar to what I already have, and B) Who has the room to have 2 fake drum sets lying around? lol And don't get me started on Rock Revolution. It's song list has some good songs that so far only seem to be available to that game, but the vast majority of its songs are already either on Rock Band or scheduled to be on Rock Band 2. And that's ANOTHER set of peripherals that won't be compatible with any of the other band games, so...I don't think so!
And those are my thoughts on the Band Rhythm games front. ![]()
