I promised more vacation stories, so here's another one.
First day in the park, and it's hot. Sweat is rolling down my back and we're miserable. We decide to go through this section of the park that has water rides. We'll get damp, it'll cool us off.
We enter this section, and there are all these water cannons and gysers imbedded into the concrete slab surrounding the water rides. There are kids pressing the buttons to make the gysers go off, and every water cannon is manned by a kid in a swim suit, trying to blast anyone that passes by. Hubby and kid and I try to avoid those kids. We want to get wet, but we don't want to be soaked by a giant water gun.
So we tiptoe around the kids, hubby and I rolling our eyes at those brats and their parents for letting them shoot innocent bystanders. We decide we're going to get on a ride called the Roller Soaker. Basically, it's one of those rides that are attached at the top, so your feet are dangling. It's a roller coaster where at certain intervals, these gysers shoot up from the ground and get you wet. So we knew we were going to get wet. What we didn't know....
When you get on the ride, you have the ability to drop tons of water on the people below you. There's this special lever you can pull, and it opens up this wall of water that goes crashing down to the ground. But remember, we didn't know this at the time.
We get in line, trying to avoid those bratty little kids that are doing their best to soak us with their water cannons. The kids in front of us see the car coming by us overhead. They start screaming, "Pull the lever! Pull the lever!" I looked at my hubby, he looked at me, and next thing you know, we were like drowned rats, totally in shock and surprised by the downpour.
What in the hell?!?!? I have never been soaked when standing in line for a ride before. But apparently the best part of the ride is being able to soak all the unknowing people standing in line.
Believe me, we took our revenge. When we got off the ride, the next person in line looked at us and said, "Perfect hit!"
I may be a girl, but my aim is great!!!
