Colin McRae of the rally driving gaming series, the latest of which was Colin McRae : DiRT has apparently been killed.
"Four people have been killed in a helicopter crash near the Lanarkshire home of former World Rally Champion Colin McRae. Strathclyde Police said the Squirrel aircraft was believed to be owned by Colin McRae, 39, who is thought to have been onboard."
Very sad news.

One report claims his agent has already confirmed it. Also, they removed the content from his website and put a blank, black page there.

Indeed, rest in peace Colin. What another tragic loss in the rally world. After loosing Richard Burns, nobody would have thought Colin would be taken to the big house so soon. I drive an Impreza STI, and have always been a fan of the Subaru WRC and rally in general, even before I got my car, and before I even played the first Colin McRae rally game. Got to watch him win the championship on EuroSport while I was living in Germany. Just a tragic loss...
It's also been reported that the cheif exec. of Prodrive and his wife just survived a helicopter crash today...almost lost another major name in the rally scene...being he runs the Subaru World Rally Team.
