So I really like the new site design and I wanted to express some of the reason why I like it here to give props to my TV.com friends.
The best thing about the site is that is shows when someone disagrees with another person's review. Finally we have some negative reinforcement to make sure that reviews understand that they are wrong and obviously did not understand an episode of a show at all. Public signs for the ignorant!! Now I do need to fess up, I have had four people disagree with some of my reviews that I have learned about now(in comparison to 29 agreeances, not trying to brag,) but this should keep reviews like this:
"Henry Gale is gay?? Not that there is anything wrong with that!"
forewarned to readers. Punishing the annoying is always deserved! (But with that hook there, who really needs to be forwarned.)So thank you TV.com for (as Anderson Cooper would say) "Keeping them honest."

So this is my inaugural blog post, so I guess I better make it special. What I really would like to write about is the rise of these serial dramas. Shows like 24, Lost, The West Wing, Grey's Anatomy; it's so difficult to keep up with these show when if you miss one episode you're lost(excuse the pun) for the remainder of the season and are forced to wait to rent the dvd's(or buy them if so inclined.) I missed one episode of 24 about a month ago. I set on computer recorder(yeah I had to buy one to keep up with my television habits) and since it failed to record I have not been able to catch back up with the plot.
To survive, television producers think they must use explosive ploys every week, moving the plot so fast that one episode lost is a whole plot rotation. Due to this fact, I have now fulfilled my fear of being a tv addict. Hours are lost while I keep up with my favorite shows(there's not too many of them) but they keep me distracted from my schoolwork enough.
Another thing that bothers me about my televison habits is taking on a new series. When I think about the task of becoming a loyal viewer of a series(because I don't want to do a half job of it), it's difficult adding another hour every week of multi-tasking and I wonder if my sickness is growing.
I thought last year there were no good television shows left, and now I am suffering for the rejuvination of primetime. Maybe, if I'm lucky they'll start making bad television again.
P.S. Watched an episode of The O.C. a couple weeks ago after having missed about four or five episodes, here are all the things that had changed: a character had died, a couple was engaged, a couple had broken up, a couple had gotten together, a character had moved, and there were a couple of characters I had no clue who they were. Therefore, I now have one less hour of tv a week to attend to. The cost of sometimes leaving my room Thursday nights, I pay dearly.

Some people just don't have opinions. Like Andrea28.
Andrea28 must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could Andrea28 possibly have for not rating a single film?
