this just strikes me as biased;
Ninja Gaiden 2:
- Pros:
- Unbelievable Graphics
- Superb Controls
- Phenomenal Gameplay
- Immense Replay Value
- Cons:
- "Difficult" Gameplay deters casual and inexperienced/impatient gamers
- Camera can be frustrating if less than 2 hours of experience is accrued.
Grand Theft Auto 4:
- Pros:
- Mass Appeal (Franchise)
- Cons:
- Sub-Par Graphics
- Dissappointing Story (Which is crucial in this line of games)
- Multiplayer through XBOX LIVE ONLY
- Gameplay is un-engaging
These are merely my observations and opinions, but i do see two key differences between these games that influenced their respective reviews:
- Ninja Gaiden 2 is really for hardcore gamers and does not appeal to the hordes of casual gamers; the bad review of Gaiden is most likely an effort to avoid offending members who discarded it after not being able to walkthrough it effortlessly.
- Grand Theft Auto 4 appears on multiple platforms rather than Ninja Gaiden 2 appearing exclusively on the Xbox360; i have noticed a certain amount of anti-360 sentiment within the site.
In the end, ratings mean nothing as it is the enjoyment in each individual gamer that is important... but it is unfair to the people who worked very hard to create games that deserve more recognition than was given.
Over the fourth of July i was able to upgrade to an elite 360 and rid myself of the white menace. It's video options were worth to extra $80 alone, not to mention the 120GB hard-drive (if i ever fill that thing up i will have had it for too long haha).
I hate not being able to play XboxLive so i am asking the gamespot community for help. The room in which my xbox360 is in (same room as the computer i am typing this blog on) has no internet-ready outlets. I have run an ethernet cable from the room with the master router to this room, put it through a D-Link fast switcher which can split it into multiple cords, i have two: one to my computer and one to my xbox360. ANY advice and discussion as to how i could solve this problem would be GREALY appreciated.
NOTE: I can log onto xboxlive and earn achievements for games but whenever i try to connect to a multiplayer game (GoW, Halo 2, etc) i am rarely able to do so.
