I've noticed a bunch of fanboys (especially on the NSider forum) that claim a certain game is "Teh Best". Aside from rabid fanboyism, company hype can take a really crap game and make it a Player's Choice or Greatist Hits.

Excluding the crappy cookie cutter sports games, here is my top ten Overated games and/or series.

10. Castlevania: Curse of Darkness (played it, it's worse than Castlevania 64)

9. The DOA series (Digital boobles aren't hot.. go look at porn)

8. Full Spectrum warrior (point and click Military Shooter.. dosn't fscking work)

7. Pokémon colosseum / XD Gale of Darkness (I love the originals, but these are beyond acceptable)

6. Mario Party series (7 bland games that just milk the already old and tired characters dry)

5. Shadow the Hedgehog (I'm guessing no one can remember the days of different colored but otherwise identical bad guys)

4. Syphon Filter (when first released.. it was a rip of Metal Gear Solid.. and it still is)

3. Current Gen Mortal Kombat games (Jesus.. this series died after Ultimate MK3 for the SNES)

2. Halo 1 and 2 (the original Perfect Dark is still better than these steaming piles)

1. Super Mario 64 (it's nothing but a spiffed up tech demo from the Ultra64 days, and has no real plot whatsoever)

There ya go.. hate all ya want, make your own top ten list, whatever.. it had to be said.
