Help, I'm in a giant nutshell! Sorry, Austin Powers qoute just slipped in there. Anyway, I had a birthday (Aug 4th), got some games and Ghostbusters DVDs (including the Real Ghostbusters cartoon). Had a back tooth pulled that was bothering me (Aug 11th). Finally decided on buying a PS3 (after a redesign and a price drop), waiting until after Christmas to buy one though. Here's the games I got for my B-day, and games I picked up afterwards..

B-Day - Lego Batman (360), Ghostbusters (360), Fable II (360)

After B-Day - Batman: Arkham Asylum (360), Shadow Complex (XBLA), Turtles in Time (XBLA), Metroid Prime Trilogy (Wii), Super Star Wars (Wii VC), Super Empire Strikes Back (Wii VC).

Over the weekend (Saturday afternoon) I managed to get over to my local GameXchange because I had a free payday to do whatever I wanted, plus I was talking old game stuff with Gamecamiller Friday night, and I had a dream I found some rare game. The last few times I had dreams about finding rare games, I checked out the local pawn shop and Gamestop (before they stopped selling old games) and found copies of Parasite Eve (black label), Final Fantasy 7 (GH), and Final Fantasy Anthology (GH, but sealed), all in excellent condition. So, I was dead set on going up to there to rifle through their stock. ("rifle through their stock"..lol). I managed to snag three things, all of which could easily fit in my pocket. I snagged..

* Metal Gear Solid (Ghost Babel) for Game Boy Color - cart only - excellent condition - $15

* Final Fantasy V Advance for GBA - cart only - excellent condition - $20 - A bit pricey for cart only GBA, but I had the choice to buy it there for $20, or spend $15 plus $4 in shipping and wait a week. The dollar was well spent.

* First party Playstation memory card - excellent condition (for a memory card, no stickers or marker rape) - $7 - Not a rare find, but I needed this as both of my PS1 cards were Nuby brand and had erased saves in the past.

All in all it was a pretty good way to spend the majority of $50. I agree with mom when she said it's off-putting that I spent so much and came outta there with literally a handful of games, BUT, I get hours and hours of entertainment out of said handful (man, that sounded dirty, lol). It wasn't a totally impressive old game raid, but totally worth going out there.. if for anything, MGS on GB Color. I was pricing copies of that for around $30 - $35 on ebay. To that I say f**k that, and then some, I found it cheaper.. bi*ches It was a good haul. Ok, it's almost 4AM here, I need to get up tomorrow before it gets dark out. Will post more soon.. hopefully. Well, I'm 99% over my bad chest cold.. which as I suspected, turned into Bronchitis. I've had that s**t twice before. Once when I was little (which turned into pneumonia right before I had my appendix taken out, which almost killed me) and a couple of years ago, which I jumped on fast (knowing what it would do if I didn't). So aside from coughing every now and then, taking antibiotics, and being a bit hoarse (from all the coughing) I'm all but over it. I haven't been up to much gaming wise, I got my copy of Indigo Prophecy in the mail ($12 from Amazon) and I picked up Tomb Raider: Anniversary ($20 at Target). That was a couple of weeks ago. I'm enjoying the lull in big game releases, I can finally get to buy some of the games on my backlog. A couple more things.. I'm back on Twitter and Facebook, I'm Anaris82 on both sites.
