Oh how I love the holiday season! I am still eating the leftovers from Thanksgiving, we had an excellent dinner this year. I made the Turkey and usual staples, but also tried out a few new recipes. Check out my Facebook profile for the tasty Cranberry Chutney I made, the recipe comes from my friend Angela Haxton. I am usually not one for cranberry sauce but this was so good I had seconds. Thanks, Angela! This is the first time I made Cranberry Chutney and it was out of this world! The bakery has been quite busy, I guess even with the economic situation people still can't refuse a warm batch of cookies! I have been searching the web for some new Christmas recipes and came across a great blog titled Rock Recipes (http://rockrecipes.blogspot.com) The ginger bread houses featured on Rock Recipes are amazing, I am definitely going to try it out. Maybe I can get the book club girls to help out as one of our adventures! Speaking of book club adventures, I had so much fun pole dancing the other day! I think I am going to take it up, like maybe take classes once a week or so just for fun. It is such a good workout and totally boosts the confidence. Well, off to the bakery as usual. I am still looking for some new holiday recipes, let me know if you have any suggestions!

I made the turkey kosher last year - not bad at all - was even better this year when I used an adobo recipe for the gobbler and it was quite good.

that chutney sounds awesome - I am not a particular fan of plain cranberry sauce

But I do love ginger and have to check out those houses and will look up rockrecipes.

I have been to rockrecipes and there are some great recipes there.

That gingerbread house is especially awesome - thanks for the link

I particularly like coconut or mango creampie and egg custard pie.

I also make ube halaya and salabat not just for holidays but as a treat anytime.

a hot cup of salabat (ginger tea) is great on a chilly morning.

also - ube ice cream is even more addictive than chocolate mint.

here are some Filipino recipes Pinoy cooking
