Man, I tell you, that Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is like crack. I would love to spend time with some of my other games in fact right now I am thinking that I should, but it is so hard to do with Oblivion just sitting there begging me to play it all the time. Atleast I get a few hours of Warhawk in everyday which is easy to do since I am playing it now in HD on a 28 inch screen which is absolutely beautiful.

I think by sitting here and typing out this blog that I have just now convinced myself to play some of my other games that I haven't even touched yet. But there is no way that I am not going to play Warhawk, that and Lair are the only games I have that are 1080 native resolution.

It's strange, in order to rank up to the next 3 ranks (basically to get to 2nd Lieutenant) all I need are points, since I have all the required awards for those ranks. You would think that people would get the points and then need the awards but some of these required awards happen kind of on accident or just through time, except for some that you actually have to try for, like Distinguished Air Superiority.

Anyways, I have decided that while I am waiting to get the required amount of points, that I am going to get every award that I can. I have noticed that while concentrating on one ribbon or badge, that most of the time my team wins, so this will also help me get the Team Cross award needed for 1st Lieutenant.

Doing this also adds a little more excitement to the game, I could easily work on getting the badges, ribbons, and medals that are left for me to get, and play on any game type. And get lots of points too since the awards give you bonus points. So in the end I am having more fun with this game and still harvesting lots of points

Well I finally got my HD monitor 28'' inches of 1080p goodness. My skills have definetly gotten a bump from this monitor I can now see troops and vehicles extremely well when I am flyin around. So everybody is duckin and hiding from the death that I am raining down from the skies.

I can actually see the numbers on the bases and I can actually read any words that appear on the screen it's great. Plus there is lots of detail in my character's cloths and on the weapons too.

So if anyone out there still has doubts about getting a HD screen... GET ONE!!!!!!! you need it. Also save some money and don't get and HDTV get an HD monitor, there is huge difference in price. Mine was only 600 bucks the same size tv would have been 1500 dollars. Also above all else make sure that it is HDCP compliant on whichever outlet that you decide to use (HDMI, DVI, etc.).
