"Home" is just around the corner, and as we see Gamespot's previews, I see more and more people with mixed emotions about it. Many have openly bashed on the concept. But, I'm one of the excited. Online gaming is great, but I often feel it's a bit detached socially. There's just too many people coming in and out of games like Warhawk, Burnout, and MSGO to really keep track of people you enjoyed playing with.
I only have a handful of friends with PS3s and we're not always on the same schedule. I feel that "Home" will be a good place to see who is on at the same time as you, and leaves an open forum for conversation. Also, because there is actual stimuli in it's set up (ie: video content, theme cafe's, the mall, mini games, etc...) I believe it will leave us with a lot to talk about and get to know one another.
However, none of us have yet to be told how the servers will be split up. Obviously, they won't be able to have everyone with a PS3 in the same space. That would just make it WAYYYY too cluttered and full of lag issues. So, since I'm sure they will be splitting people up into groups, I'm making this blog (and a forum post) to invite English speaking people, who are excited about "Home", who are 18yrs or older, and who have a nightly gaming schedule (8pm-12am) to seek me out now and add me as a friend. This way, our little group of friends can always know to have a bunch of people on who are fun, excited, and speak the same language.
My user name is Amir29. Add me when you can. I look forward to meeting you
