I need a drummer and a bass for a band i'm thinking of creating. Majorly going to play old Metallica stuff (Like Battery, Master Of Puppets), some Testament, Megadeth, and our main inspiration band should be...Yngwie Malmsteen. I love Yngwie, and the fact that he can play the guitar and bass in Malmsteen songs. I'm currently learning Black Star tabs, but of course, one guitar isn't enough to get it going. The tough thing is...there is just one person near me that can play guitar better than me, and two guitarists are a must. Getting a drummer won't be hard, since a lot of people kinda know how to play it well, and getting a bass should be as easy. For the vocals, I have no idea either. Probably singing myself, but i'm too much of a poser rather than a singer on stage.

I also had an idea to go progressive and play some Dream Theater, but I don't really like the idea of the category. A friend also told me to play Cradle Of Filth since I like it so much, but the tabs are tad too easy to learn, and I don't have a black metal distortion pedal. I also got a suggestion of playing Slipknot...and...well.....

I need a vocalist who is just as good as this handsome man once was:

Black metal riffs are easy, unless you make them technical, like some guitarists have in some moments, BM isn't known for the guitars as much as it is for the vocals and drums. And um, I suggest looking at some Dream Theater tabs before trying to play them, some are quite hard I've heard . I suggest you go to a local coffee shop (pun unintended) and play some acoustic medleys with psuedo comical lyrics and see who comes along...I'm thinking a lot of college hippie types but you might get a musician that way

That would be a perfect band for me :O. Testament, Megadeth, Yngwie, Dream Theatr, no Slipknot . No longer a drummer...haven't played bass, and don't wanna be a vocalist . Anyway good luck finding band mates

Thanxs man. I think I found myself another guitarrist, better than me. The problem should be the battery stuff, and we have been holding garage auditions to try to find some people, but when the name Yngwie Malmsteen pops out, everyone refused. At least I found another guitar to play Yngwie, we are going to try out those Steve Vai and Yngie Malmsteem solos just the two of us, let's see if I can get this one, because the Acoustic solo was unreacheable in skill for both of us.

Most people say Yngwie's songs are "too fast" and all that. They sound awesome, they may be a little dfficult to play but if you can find a guitarist that can play some Yngwie and some Steve Vai then you found your guitarist .

He can play better than I can, and I can fairly play around 3 Yngwie songs...so I guess he plays a little more. The problem should be founding a battery now..
