I haven't updated in a while nor commented on other people's blogs. Apologies for both, I've been rather preoccupied recently. I am reading a lot of blogs, it's just sometimes I can't fathom what to say, but I'll try harder from now on.

Anyway: I got a job! At a games shop of all places.
I just finished my first shift today; it was actually just watching Health & Safety DVDs for four hours but I still got paid for it. I get a super sweet 25% discount on all games. It's my first job in two and a half years so I'm pretty nervous about it. Hopefully I'll do good enough of a job to keep it after Christmas.

Currently playing Brutal Legend on the PS3. T'is awesome and I highly recommend it to anyone who likes things that are funny and/or about metal.

I'm also in the delightful mood to buy a Mac Mini. I don't know, I've wanted a proper Mac for ages. I have a very old G4 Power Mac but it has a fairly recent OS on it that just borks near enough everything every couple of hours.

What's on everyone's Christmas list?

Good to hear from you again! Have fun with Brutal Legend! Christmas list: I want Borderlands, Demon's Souls, Fallout 3: GOTY Edition, and Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles.

Some thing that can let me play my consoles on a CRT or LCD Monitor.

Why not just make a hackintosh out of your netbook?

As for christmas presents i'm not really sure, i'm still owed a bday + xmas present from last year....

@Out-Of-Ammo: Thanks, sir. Think I'll have to look into Borderlands and Demon's Souls. Fallout 3 is brilliant, but I haven't played any of the add-ons yet.

@Ps2gamer25: I think you can get DVi-HDMI adapters for newer LCD monitors.

@markop2003: I looked into it, the Dell Mini 10s are still not compatible with OS X. Just Dell Mini 9's. I'll get Win7 to put on it at some point, but I've wanted a Mac for a while. Just now I have a job to pay for it.

Congrats on the job! And I agree about Brutal Legend. Funny + Metal = Awesome. And it doesn't hurt that the gameplay is great, too. It's just plain fun to play.

My sister had the original mac mini and just picked up a new one. Loves it. I would love a Mac at home but they're just so expensive... at my studio I have a quad core intel power mac tower and that thing kills it

@bowlingotter: I once mess around with the customisation part of ordering a Mac...got it up to £13,000 with 32GB of memory and two 2.9Ghz Quad Core processors.

Just wondering, Do you know anything that I can use for a CRT Monitor?

Mac is very modest imo. PC can be a bit clunky. But there's more PC games than Mac's.
I'm not really a fan of metal especially Slipknot (I doubt they even are ones) since most of them just shout non-human and non-sense. Disturbed, Korn (not exactly again) are my favorite because i could understand what they sing.

@Ps2gamer25: You need an RGB to VGA adapter. You can pick them up cheap off Amazon.

@Kleeyook: Yeah I'm not a big fan of screaming metal either. I prefer the older stuff where you can hear the singing but the guitar work is still awesome. Like Van Halen, Kiss, Black Sabbath and Ozzy.
