So I was in the bathroom playing KH: 358/2 earlier tonight (cuz that's the *ONLY* place to play your DS). I'm making pretty okay progress with the game. I'm on like Day 25 or something. Xion and Roxas just beat this big ass Heartless and then they went to eat ice cream on the clock. DOCK THEIR PAY, Saix!!! And then someone at Castle Oblivion got terminated, so............ Saix is sending me and Zigbar to Agrabah, of course... whatev'... Anyway, at that point, I could hear someone sending me messages on my 360, so I had to conclude my "business" and see what all was going on.

And pspitus and Dragon66116 wanted to play Modern Warfare 2. I've had the game for over a week, but I hadn't actually played it... you know, cuz I was busy with Borderlands and playing New Super Mario Bros. Wii with Courtney. So... talk about a freaking trial by fire. I did HORRIBLE! I brought new meaning to the word "SUCK." I think I managed to get like... 6 kills in like half an hour. That's actually worse than my mad Halo skillz... Of course, we seemed to be playing with consummate professionals who had entire maps memorized. And I have to write "AIDAN" in big letters on my hand so I can remember my name.

No kidding

Anyway, I got tagged. Again. This time by Slyfur. Using my mad math skillz, I have determined that this is the 4th time I've gotten tagged. I don't give a s*** though, cuz I like talking about myself. So!!! Here goes!

1. I have met Hitoshi Sakimoto, Yoko Shimomura, and Michael Salvatori. If you don't know who they are... you SHOULD! They have both has composed TONS of video game music. Sakimoto has done Final Fantasy 12, Final Fantasy Tactics, Odin Sphere... and plenty of other games. And Shimomura is responsible for the music behind Legend of Mana, Heroes of Mana,Mega Man 6, Final Fantasy Versus 13... oh, and Kingdom Hearts . Michael Salvatori composed music in those Halo games that I've heard are pretty popular I met all 3 at this video game symphony that came to Detroit a few years ago. It was freaking SWEET!! You haven't lived until you've heard The Legend of Zelda's music played by a live orchestra.

2. Though I listen to all sorts of music... I *love* video game music. Obviously.

3. I haven't been devoured by my Mario hat yet.

4. I've come to realize that it's *HARD* to wash permanent marker off your hands.

5. I have a slooooow metabolism And have to work my ass off to stay fit.

6. I'm extremely fit!

7. It's true that I play my DS in the bathroom. I played Heroes of Mana from start to finish on my throne. Not in one sitting, mind you.

8. I *SUCK* at First Person Shooters. Halo 3: ODST was the first one I ever played and managed to beat.

9. My ears are pierced. Did I say that one before? Oh well. I'm saying it again.

10. My middle name is Michael.

11. My next blog is #50 and I've got something BIG planned!!! Even though I said I wasn't going to. I lie.

10. Now listening to: "Silk Road in the Sky" from Star Ocean: The Last Hope. Ahh, planet Aeos. I *loved* this music. And this planet.

11. I still think that Lymle from Star Ocean: The Last Hope is the worst character EVER.

12. My 1 year anniversary with Courtney is coming up on December... uh... well, *I* know what day it is. But I'm not gonna put it here cuz I have to check and see if Courtney knows what day it is. Really..... No? Not buying that?

13. I'm SOOO sorry for deleting Marrium's sig from *MY* PhotoBucket and replacing it with this:

14. Not really. I hope you can still find it within your heart to forgive me for my horrid, horrid prank, Marrium.

15. While I want to be a professional photographer, did ya know that I can also WRITE? You've read my reviews, but I can also write actual stories, too. Though I never have the patience to finish them. Check it out! This is from a Zelda fan fic that I started (and never finished) writing.

It was night.

The pale moonlight glittered on the ocean's eerily still, mirror-like surface. The bountiful wind so commonplace on the ocean was not in evidence tonight, and as a result, the journey to Dragon Roost Island was unexpectedly delayed.

"How long must we wait?" asked Prince Kasuto, his impatient voice echoing throughout his cabin.

"As long as it takes," replied Gavin. He was a tall, slender deckhand not much older than Kasuto, and such, he was often given the task of keeping company the young prince. "The wind can be fickle… or as is the case tonight, nonexistent."

"Well," said Kasuto, "I'm tired of waiting. Perhaps you and the other deckhands should get out the oars and row?"

Gavin had the nerve to chuckle at the suggestion. "Relax, my Prince," he said, "the wind will return and we will get underway soon enough."

Blowing an impatient sigh between his lips, Kasuto turned on his heel and pressed his face to the glass in the nearby portal. The ocean was still as ever—the ship wasn't drifting. "This is ludicrous!" he sighed. "If these Rito we are so desperate to meet have the ability to fly, why do they not travel to Kasuto? Would it not be faster and more convenient for all parties?"

"Perhaps," said Gavin with a shrug. "But we were invited by the Rito Chieftain to visit Dragon Roost Island… As I understand it, they are a very private people. It is a great honor to visit their distant land."

Kasuto provided an indolent sigh. "If we ever get to their distant land…"

The boat suddenly swayed. It was very subtle and had the boat not been dead in the water for the past several hours, Kasuto likely would have missed it completely… but since he was suddenly aware of every little movement the ship made, this tiny rocking motion had his complete attention. He pressed his face to the portal once more, expecting to see waves rippling across the ocean—but there were none. He thusly produced yet another dejected sigh for Gavin to endure.

"It was probably nothing," said Gavin with a chuckle.

But when the boat rocked a second time, Kasuto knew that was not the case. Maybe they really were getting out the oars? If that was so, he would send Gavin away immediately to render assistance.

But when Kasuto marched toward the door, he was greeted with another sound, one that sent fear shimmering down his spine—an explosion!

The boat suddenly jolted violently!

Kasuto lost his footing amidst the tumult and fell to the floor. He skittered across the wooden deck and banged into the foot of his bed before finally grabbing hold of the bedpost. He quickly pulled himself to his feet and raced toward the exit alongside Gavin.

Gavin quickly cast asunder the heavy wooden door to reveal a scene of utter chaos! The ship was under attack! Pirates scampered across the deck, swords sparking as they clashed with the Kasuto Royal Guard.

Kasuto tried to get closer, to see what, exactly was going on, but Gavin kept him from seeing anything more than fleeting images of the noisy battle.

"Could it be Ganondorf's men?" Kasuto whispered.

Gavin shook his head. "The Army of Darkness led by Ganondorf is still a powerful force," he said, "but at this juncture they are a fractured organization. With Ganondorf's demise, they lack the leadership to mount a coordinated attack of this magnitude."

Those assurances, however, did little to ease Kasuto's nerves. "Is it possible someone else has rallied the Dark King's forces?"

To that, Gavin had no response. He merely stood, watching the battle in progress… until he stumbled back a step. He might have been tiresome, but Kasuto knew that Gavin was no coward… something must have been wrong! It was then that Kasuto noticed the bloody knife jutting from Gavin's chest…

Startled, Kasuto let out a frantic yelp, then jumped back into his cabin as Gavin collapsed, dead even before he hit the deck. Kasuto stared at his bloody, broken body for only a moment before a clasp of thunder grabbed his attention. Rain suddenly started to pelt the ship as gangly tendrils of lightning snaked across the stormy sky…

Pulse pounding, Kasuto started to panic. He didn't know what to do! He considered hiding, but that was hardly honorable! Then again, if he fought, there was a decent chance that he would wind up just like Gavin.

Thunder crackled overhead once again, and for a moment the battle seemed to stop. Kasuto peeked out the door, but in the rainy dead of night, he couldn't really see much of anything… until the lighting flashed… and a boy clad in green stepped onto the deck. As a frigid, wind-driven gale suddenly swept across the deck, Kasuto realized the Hero of Winds had arrived. He raised his glittering sword to the heavens above, and then charged into battle alongside the shadowy minions of evil.

A hero, he was not…

You've waited more than 4 months for this blog. I've waited more than 4 months for this hat. And I've heard that pspitus waited outside his local GameStop for more than 4 months awaiting the release of Spryo: Enter the Dragonfly. But now, the wait is over! All of that money I wasted on Nintendo products so that Satoru Iwata could have a toilet made out of gold has at long last earned me my MARIO HAT!!!

There's just a few problems, which were kindly outlined in the.... (wait for it...............) INSTRUCTION MANUAL that came with the hat. I s*** you not. The hat came with an instruction manual. If you ask me, Nintendo is going a little overboard. First, that ridiculous 3 minute video on how to connect the Wii Motion Plus to the Wii Remote ( )... and now, and instruction manual for a hat. I never thought I'd see the day. But it's a good thing they passed that instruction manual along, cuz (according to the instruction manual) this bad boy "is not designed to function as a hat." I would use it to clean up Jade's poop, but then, well... I'd have to wash it and *that* my friends, brings up a whole other bag of problems...

"Do not leave unattended if item gets damp by elements such as rain or sweat."
(source: Mario Hat Instruction Manual)

So let me get this straight. I shouldn't leave the hat alone if it gets wet? Sounds a little suspicious if you ask me. I'm almost afraid to have it in the same room as me now. Just what, exactly, is gonna happen if I have to step into the little boy's room when this thing gets wet? It could be possessed! It might demand a sacrifice! It could try and suck out my brains!!! It could be a zombie hat for all I know! So one thing is clear. I *cannot* wear this hat at all, otherwise you might never see me again. I guess it's a good thing it's not designed to function as a hat... and that I still have my much more awesome... er... tuque as AlmightyMax liked to call it...

Speaking of which, I finally beat Bowser's Inside Story! Good game. Way better than Partners in Time, though not quite on the same level as Superstar Saga. Though considering the sheer excellence of Superstar Saga, it's unlikely anything could reach that level. Now I'll finally, *finally* be able to start KH: 358/2. I also finished my second playthrough of Mass Effect today. Being good was not nearly as much fun as being evil. I am *so* ready for Mass Effect 2, though! Which comes out in January, just before my birthday (HINT, HINT... and think Special Edition while you're at it ) I actually planned on spending a few more days with Mass Effect, but I thought that I missed the Paramour Achievement *again* so I got mad and decided to just rush through the rest of the game. And, of course...10 minutes later I was in bed with Liara. It was too late to turn around and do the other quests, so I just went ahead and beat the game, anyway. And yeah. I slept with an alien! Hahahaha!!!

I also got Borderlands recently. Haven't spent much time with it yet, though, cuz of Mass Effect. And I picked up Magna Carta 2, cuz some of my friends in the real world here said it was good. I haven't even touched it yet, though. I got too many *other* games to play. And New Super Mario Bros. Wii comes out next week, which I'm definitely gonna have to play. And Modern Warfare 2 is this week, which I'm probably gonna have to pick up......... I NEED MORE TIME!!

Anyway... 41 comments on my last blog? Only 3 or 4 of which were me?! Thanks guys! I'm glad everyone liked the big anniversary blog! I don't know how the hell I could POSSIBLY top that?! And my 50th blog is coming up in... just 2 blogs. I'm not gonna try and top "Attack of the Killer Tuna," but I do have a big announcement to make, and I'm saving it up for that blog.

Laterz!

Aidan Week continues with... the MAIN EVENT... the EPIC ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY BLOG that I have given so much hype that there's no way it could possibly be as good as you're expecting! Then again, it delivers most everything I promised. There's a video. There's tuna. There's going to be some warm, heartfelt thoughts from me coming up in a few paragraphs. So let's get on with the show!!!!!

First things first... what have I accomplished in the past year?

Getting Insulted By Slyfur: Priceless
Most Popular Blogs: "Say Hello to Lexie" was easily my most commented on blog, and rightfully so. Of course, the "Even More Stuff You Didn't Want to Know About Aidan McKenzie" also proved popular, indicating to me that, contrary to popular belief, you *do* like hearing random crap about me

Lexie made her debut in August!

I've joined countless unions. Many of which died a slow and painful death. I'm glad to say that my favorite unions, such as the Catz Clan and the Mario Gamers Club are still going strong. And, of course... there is that *ahem* other Union... you know... the Aidan McKenzie Fan Club. I don't want to be self-centered, but well... that is my favorite union. Of course, we rarely talk about me and when we do, it's usually in the form of an insult. I don't mind. It's the people that make a union great, and the AMFC has some of the greatest people on GS

My personal life over the past year has been... uh, well, a roller coaster ride. Things started off kinda rocky. Not long after I joined, my girlfriend dumped me. In a text message. I got over it real quick though, when this girl named Courtney asked me on a date. I wonder whatever happened to *her* ... I got a car this past year. And, of course... I became a dad. Lexie is easily the best thing that has ever happened to me. Sure, she's a lot of work, but she has made me a better person. She's given my life focus and direction. She's given me a reason to talk about poop and not get faces from Twilight. And I just want to thank everyone here for being so supportive. I didn't mention Lexie until a few weeks before she was born, mainly cuz I was afraid of what everyone would think. But you have all be awesome, giving me and Courtney tons of encouragement and stuff. You guys are great!

And since *everyone* has done it at some point, I guess I'll list the few people around here that I can actually tolerate and consider acquaintances:...........

Well, now that that's over with....did you check out my new blog header and banner? FREAKING SWEET, huh? I was just gonna do a quick little crappy thing for Halloween (like my SCAREY new avatar), but I wound up with that pretty awesome Halloween Town banner from Kingdom Hearts II! I like it so much, I just might keep it even after Halloween is over. The TP mummy is gonna go, though

So. I mentioned there would be a video, didn't I?And before you go and fire that beast up, here's the disclaimer! Though I'm pretty sure I either edited out my bad language or caught myself when I was actually making the video, I still think I swear a few times. No f-bombs or anything. But some of the lesser words might be in there. Also, you'll probably be tired of hearing my voice by the time this thing is over. It's not as high-pitched as it used to be, but it's still annoying.

What was that? You were hoping to see my FACE?! Hahahaha! Maybe next time And it occurs to me that I never actually wrote down my Crank to Rank time for this stupid duel. I'll just lie and say I got it in 3.67 seconds. Tomatoes will *never* beat that in a million years.

One Winged Angel...

Look what else I got! I *know* that I didn't need it, but Sephiroth was just calling my name over and over. I couldn't resist anymore, so I finally broke down and got it. And I still have to laugh every time I see that sword of his. He's not compensating for anything, is he?

Meh, I guess I'll finish by *actually* giving thanks to my friends...

TwilightLullaby. Let's not mince words. Next to Courtney, you are the best friend I have here. You kept my head screwed on straight when Courtney was pregnant, made sure I did the right thing. Even though you'll never admit it, you're my biggest supporter in everything that I do here. You have an awesome sense of humor... my copy of Final Fantasy 7, and an unusual fascination with growing mushrooms. Honestly, I don't know what I'd do without you And I'm *SO* sorry that we didn't get to watch Stargate yesterday!

Red0584. Red... what can I say? Not only are you my 8th most hated vegetable, you're one of the most awesome people here. And you had the balls to actually create the Aidan McKenzie Fan Club We've had a lot of awesome times together... from the Cheez-its to saving Jenny from those nasty bandits... to sniffing video game cases. I hope we'll have a ton more awesome laughs in the future!

pspitus.I still can't believe you got that crown for your avatar on Xbox Live You *KNEW* I was the king, and you still got it! Made me dress up as a freaking TP mummy instead cuz it would have been unoriginal to copy you. I see how it is. Actually, I don't even think I can tolerate you anymore, but I still put you on this list cuz you *always* make me laugh. Even when I'm feeling emo You seem to find humor in every situation and when you can't you still find the words to make things seem better!

Marrium. You have got to be one of the most random people I've ever known, and that's a great thing. You're always so spontaneous and fun. And you're Courtney's honorary little brother, which means you have to beat me up if I ever give her cooties or something Not that you could take me in a fight

Tomatoes95. Dude, you're the *only* person on this site who even comes close to rivaling my ego. And I love that about you. Whenever we meet, it's like a clash of the titans, or something! Of course, I can't bring myself to say anything nice about you, cuz that would only make your ego bigger. But I will say, your blog about my underwear, while inaccurate, was still the most epic thing I've seen since The Little Mermaid. And you'll *NEVER* arrest me for using bad grammar! *runs*

AlmightyMax. We haven't exactly known each other for very long, but we've become friends pretty damn fast. I think it was the moment you said that you liked my "vibe." That almost made Twilight puke, so I knew that you and me had to be friends after that. We always have something to talk about, too, and... in a somewhat unusual turn of events (for me), it's usually a halfway intelligent conversation. I don't know you as well as some of the other on this list, but given time, I'm sure that will change

TissueShoe. I don't know why, but I always feel like I have to be on my best behavior around you. It's probably because, unlike everyone else on this list, you are still a relative mystery to me, despite the fact I've known you the longest. You're just a private person, and I can dig that. But you've always been a good friend, and that's what really counts And you did have the "honor" of sharing Red's failed union with me for 6 months

Ultimate_Hero. My very first friend on GameSpot. He's not around as much as he used to be, but I'm still glad to have met him. He ushered me into the community and set all of.... THIS... into motion

Slyfur. Even though you can't stand me, insult me all the time, and want me to fall over dead ... underneath all that is someone who wants to beat me up. Of course, I give you such a hard time, I probably deserve some of that torment. So beyond all *that*... you really are a good friend

Desulated. We're not as close as we used to be, and that's a damn shame. You were probably my first *real* friend here. Maybe one day we'll recapture that which we once had

Courtney. ... You *know* how much you mean to me

And since I'm tired of writing this, I'll just give a shout out to the rest of you: mario-nin-freak, GameBlender, hank_101, megamannt123, Dragon66116, Paul_GameFury, Dapieguyofdoom, SquareEnixFan, Kid_Black_Star... ...and everyone else who I missed...I'm glad that I've had the opportunity and good fortune to know you guys, and while I probably don't know you all as well as I should, I'm still glad to know you. Aside from Tomatoes95, there's not a bad seed in this bunch

THANK YOU!!!!
