Achievement Unlocked! The two greatest word you can here while playing a video game. Most people think achievements are the key to winning system wars, and I totally agree. They give you the influence to beat the game to see that little pop-up on the bottom of your screen. Most of them are really creative, for example, you get 10 points for jumping off the tallest building in the game Crackdown. Achievements make you feel good, and give you a feeling of accomplishment. They also give you a reason to have friendly competition with friends, for instance, me and like 4 of my friends have almost the same amount of Achievement Points, and whenever we get a new one, we never forget to tell everyone =). So when you see those two words pop-up on your screen, you'll realize how smart Microsoft can be sometimes, and they have managed to make their clients happy.

Yeah, achievements make games more addicting. I haven't gotten as caught up in them as some have, but they still add a sense of direction and give a lot of replay value to games. Now if M$ had only spent as much time making sure their console would work I'd be in gaming heaven.

It's always nice to see the "Achivement Unlocked" sign - it gives you a real feeling of satisfaction even better when you unlock an acheivement without realising.
