It's always bizarre when you see people from your past on TV, and in this case even more so as last Thursday the BBC broadcast a documentary about Denise Welch (who plays a fake teacher on Waterloo road) acting as a teacher at my old Secondary School for a week. It was called 'Blackfyne Comprehensive' back then but now goes under the name 'Consett Community Sports College'. The documentary itself was servicable hitting all the notes that it should but what was more interesting for me was how many of my old teachers were still there and the way the kids were. However we only saw the English department and Headmistress (My headmaster has since moved on) so were limited although I'm sure there is plenty of them still there since I left 11 years ago. The most Notable was Sarah Lumsdon who still after so many years has still got an X-files fixation. Her house was great, with walls filled with David Duchovny photo's (some of them framed). She was always the eccentric character so I'm glad she is willing to share that with others and not give a damn.

It's got me wondering how all the other teachers are doing now, like Mr Thomas (6'4" Geography teacher, enjoyed drawing stick men falling off cliffs) and the science teacher (forget his name) that was rumoured to drink his own concoctions from the lab. Does anybody else remember their old teachers and their odd eccentricities?
