I may not be a fan of Newcastle United or care much about football in general but the last few days with Keegan and the Board of directors is clearly a political thing. Any fan should be able to tell you that and in all honesty I think the way the club has treated not just Keegan but the fans is appalling. 7 Hours to issue a statement yesterday with fans outside is ridiculous, they should have sent someone out within the first few hours at least to reassure the fans, it's like they were hiding under their boardroom tables. And now if the fans aren't angry enough with them the board of directors offers us 1 and a half hours after we learn Keegan has officially resigned, a statement that puts them in a even worse light. They clearly want to keep Dennis Wise as transfer manager that they would let go of someone who is a local hero. Even if you didn't agree with his appointment in the first place you can't not help to be on Keegan's side here. Finally, I have to say that with the reputation the board has given themselves I can't see any new manager coming in easily, and I can't see the fans accepting Ashley again anytime soon, in all honesty they've screwed themselves over more than Keegan. If only they cared about the club and not just money or becoming european structured.
