Hey guys, another smash bros list blog. This is basically for personal reference if I ever want go back and see what I have, but your viewing is very much encouraged as well. Maybe this is common knowledge, but have you ever noticed how every smash bros game focusses on games of prior Nintendo consoles and very rarely the games of the current system? Here's some examples:

Super Smash Bros.:

Mario's fireball, the SMB stage, Samus, Ness, Luigi, fire flower, and others.

Super Smash Bros. Melee:

Ice Climbers, bumper, Mr. Game and Watch, Marth/Roy, Dr. Mario, Temple stage, Peach's castle stage, Jungle Japes, Fourside, as well as others.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl:

Snake, Metaknight, Diddy Kong, toon link, various assist trophy characters, Delfino Plaza, Luigi's Mansion, SMB level, the masterpieces, Flatzone 2, greenhill zone, Shadow moses Island, Port town aero dive, 75 m, the Pikmin stage, Mario Bros., Pirate Ship, Norfair, Frigate Orpheon.

This is by no means a complete list and I'll probably update it as I think of more things to add, but for now I'm going to go to bed. Oh, btw, just comment if you want anything added or changed.

Well, technically Twilight Princess breaks that pattern. It may have been a Gamecube game too, but it was also on Wii, so it isn't completely only on a previous platform.

Yeah, I know it's not totally that way, but there's a good chance that TP was still Gamecube exclusive when they started working on Brawl.

I noticed that too. Most of the things in Melee were from 64 games, while Brawl had stuff from Gamecube games.
