In an article somewhere, Sakurai said that smash bros was more of a sports game than an fighting game. I think that's why timed matches are standard. Timed matches are quite like sports though when you think about it. They have a timer (obviously). Also, people or teams compete for points. This kind of stinks because stock matches are so much better and make the game more like a fighting game. I wish you could set them as a default, but Sakurai likes timed matches. By this point (three blogs in a row), you're probably thinking I'm a smash bros. nut (I've just been playing a lot of it recently), so I promise the next one will be different. I know, this blog isn't great, but I was sick of seeing my previous one. So, until next time, see ya.

Hey guys, another smash bros list blog. This is basically for personal reference if I ever want go back and see what I have, but your viewing is very much encouraged as well. Maybe this is common knowledge, but have you ever noticed how every smash bros game focusses on games of prior Nintendo consoles and very rarely the games of the current system? Here's some examples:

Super Smash Bros.:

Mario's fireball, the SMB stage, Samus, Ness, Luigi, fire flower, and others.

Super Smash Bros. Melee:

Ice Climbers, bumper, Mr. Game and Watch, Marth/Roy, Dr. Mario, Temple stage, Peach's castle stage, Jungle Japes, Fourside, as well as others.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl:

Snake, Metaknight, Diddy Kong, toon link, various assist trophy characters, Delfino Plaza, Luigi's Mansion, SMB level, the masterpieces, Flatzone 2, greenhill zone, Shadow moses Island, Port town aero dive, 75 m, the Pikmin stage, Mario Bros., Pirate Ship, Norfair, Frigate Orpheon.

This is by no means a complete list and I'll probably update it as I think of more things to add, but for now I'm going to go to bed. Oh, btw, just comment if you want anything added or changed.

Hey everyone!

This is one of those pointless blogs, but I felt my old one has been up long enough (check it out now if you haven't already, there's still time!). I think I list some of the things Brawl has added from Melee. I am not counting things that merely changed like movesets for characters. So without further ado, here's my list:

Subspace Emissary

New Nintendo characters

3rd Party characters

New stages

New items

Final Smashes

Online play

Stage builder

Challenge grid

Masterpieces

Camara system that works in regular matches

Ability to save replays

Ability to send pictures/stages/replays to friends

Boss battle mode

Co-op stadium games and events

Coin launcher

Stickers

CDs

My Music

Customizable controls

Multiple air dodges without helpless

Running up smash

Directional side smashes

Directional side tilts

Multiple taunts

Ledge grabs facing the other way.

Footstool jumping

Moving while shooting (items)

Wallclinging

Gliding

Pivot grabs

Swimming/drowning

Glancing blows

So that's all I can think of, but that's a pretty sizable list right? Feel free to post anything I may have missed or correct me on something.
