Spoilers for those who have not played MGS2 (and if you haven't, what the hell is wrong with you?) inbound. Skip this stuff.

So, I pretty much lost it when the president grabbed Raiden's crotch.

I played MGS2 for about three hours last night and I'm still in a daze the next morning. Snake just had the ninja knock Raiden out when I had to stop (I had to chuckle when Rose asked a fuzzy window if it wanted to save, but that didn't mean I couldn't take advantage of it).

Also, the drama is ridiculous (Otacon, really?) but I'm loving every second of this game. Besides, the presentation is spectacular (I yelled "Holy Spagoli" like a million times during the scene with Solidus on the bridge) and the gameplay is fun, if brief.

So, yeah. Awesome. I don't have to work tonight, so I'll probably finish the game.

Then I'll have to choose between continuing in Okami (I'm about three hours in) or starting Snake Eater. Yeesh.

One of the best reviews I've ever read. I wish I had thought of that.

Fifty Foot Shadows. Absolutely stunning wallpaper.

Bought another Amon Tobin album - Permutation. If I post gibberish tomorrow, Tobin destroyed my brain. For the third time.

EDIT: I beat MGS2.

Yeah, Raiden is a dude. I know that most people will beg to differ, but I actually thought that part 2 was the funniest and coolest MGS title.

MGS2 was the last one I liked.

Hmm, I'd heard that Raiden was an androgynous clone....Guess I was wrong.

Glad your having fun.

It's a guy ?

Let's just say that ball grabbing also plays a major role in Metal Gear Solid 3. Sorry for the spoiler.

Okami vs. Snake Eater is a tough call. I like Okami more, I think, but play Snake Eater first because it won't take you as long. Oh yeah, and the whole Otacon tangent is a stupid waste of time. I don't care.

MGS2 was really fun. At first I also thought Raiden was a woman. I would have prefered snake to be the protagonist, but it was a pretty good game. Snake Eater had a lot of funny radio conversations, look them up here on GS for fun and laughter.
That review was very fun to read. I want to be a friend of that kid. And that wallpaper has something in it that draws you in.

I'm curious... how many games to you usually play at once? I could never play a Metal Gear game at the same time as a lengthy RPG like Okami for fear of forgetting what I was supposed to do in one of the games.

I own, and love, MGS2 Substance. The story goes through some trippy-ass plot twists and starts to get weak near the end. But the gameplay and presentation are why I still own it. MGS3 Sustinance also rocks pretty hard. I've played Okami and plan to buy it eventually. Raiden is an androgynous dude. He'd make a hot she-male, though, huh? I can't talk, 'cause I go Goth sometimes. Black eyeliner, cold colored lipstick with black lip-liner, black nail polish and all.

Holy cow. I agree, that is easily one of the best reviews ever written. Poor Billy!

I've been putting off getting some Tobin for too long...It's just that Coltrane has a hold of me right now!

@johnsteed7: I usually play zero games at once, but I actually have very few problems jumping back into a game I started seven-upteen months ago. Resident Evil 4 is a notable exception. I forgot the controls.

No duh. But wikipedia say's it's male.
Posted Nov 2, 2009 4:21 pm PT
@johnsteed7 Yeah. I feel you. Right now, I'm ping-ponging between Chrono Trigger (DS), Persona 4 (PS2) and FFXII. And as I switch between them, in 2-3 day increments, I have to jog my memory a tad.

I've been running around the factory for hours and I've no idea what I'm supposed to do. The whole tanker mission was great though.

Congrats on beating MGS2!

Did you ever run back to the torture machine after getting spotted in Arsenal Gear (before you get your gear back)? That comment that the guard leaves is great.
