I just wanted to have fun with Ghostbusters.

Instead, Ghostbusters nearly gave me a stroke.

I was having a great time ridding New York City of ghouls. It wasgood fun running through the museum, indiscriminately blowing up priceless artifacts with my proton pack. Wrangling ghosts wasn't terribly challenging, but the mechanic for doing so was simple and immensely satisfying. There really was a lot to like about the Ghostbusters.

Sure, the story should have been much better. Yes, the cutscenes were sometimes awkward and in desperate need of a director's touch. I won't argue that the game as a whole could have used the ambiguous, review-friendly-crutch known as "polish."

I didn't really care about any of the game's issues because bustin' made me feel good.

And then I got to the end.

F**k the end.

Sounds like me trying to play through Call of Duty 4 on veteran difficulty. That T.V station battle early in the game was one of the toughest moments I have ever had. It sure is satisfying to beat something that frustrates you like crazy. Haven't played ghostbusters or seen the movies but I can see the charm of the franchise. Maybe I will try the game sometime or download the demo.

Wait a min, Ghostbusters was awesome in my opinion, and the ending..hell yeah, loved the quote

Egon: "We eat Gods for breakfats"
Ray: "Gods for breakfast ?"
Egon: "Too much you think?"
Ray: Nah, I liked it

Am gonna play some online

Aaron, your doing a really great job over at BitMob. I have read your articles (as well as posted on your NFL iPhone game at GamePolitics) and listened to you on the podcast. I'm happy you found a good place. I had the pleasure of talking to Shoe at E3 this year and I am happy your working alongside him.

Is this a full time gig now?

Wow, is it that bad Aaron? I gave up during the library boss fight, my comrades kept dying and it frustrated me to no end, so I uninstalled it. I really wanted to enjoy it too.. but apparently I would have found another frustration at the end.

For anyone on the PC having performance issues (bad ones) when you shouldn't be.. just edit your shortcut to look like this %windir%\system32\cmd.exe /c start "Ghostbusters(TM)" /low "C:\Program Files\Atari\Ghostbusters\ghost_w32.exe" and it will run a lot better. I have a GTX280 and it was a slide show.. with that I am running at 1920x1200 maxed settings and high frame rates like it should be. Don't ask me why, but Atari seems to have gimped their support for the PC version. Anyway hope it helps someone.

It's a good thing you didn't actually finish the game. The ending was TERRIBLE.

Well, I'm still going to get it. I've faced some tough end bosses before.
