Yes, that's what I said. I was watching the news this morning and they said the TMNT Movie had the highest Profit on it's debut weekend. This goes to show you that old stuff will never die. It feels like 1990 all over again with the TMNT products coming out and selling steadily too.
For folks who did see it, what did you guys think? Was it a "must see movie" or a dud?

Well for one thing , why have the critics always panned all of TMNT movies? Even this one!

I saw the movie and thought it was a real good movie.

No, what this goes to show you is that people will watch dang near anything that comes to theatres. The turtles should of stayed hidden in the sewer because you can't expect to make a good movie when the concept is so long buried, maybe if they made this movie a few years back when turtles were the biggest hype then maybe a decent watchable movie could of been produced. I am a huge fan of the turtles, well was with the older classic cartoons and 2 out of 3 of the older movies - 1st one sucked. Its just passed its prime to make a decent movie these days, sure it will make money but you have to judge the movie before seeing it if not then the movie will be a money gold mine producing more and more sequels. Also, on a minor point, the animation scheme is all off - along with the storyline and concept. Ill Pass - maybe see it on DVD someday but don't plan on spendin my pizza money on this crap.

I actually loved the former ones, had no idea till lately that the remake was not gonna be the costumed type like the predecessors. Ah well I'm still gonna watch it

I hated thpose costumes ones. They creep me out. I have a promo to one of the ones from the early 90s on a video of one of the episodes, scared to death.

Hey I loved the little costumed guys, especially watching them fight in the getup...ok maybe it was too funny. Anyway hope you having a good Easter.

TMNT is one of the top three best CG movies of all time. Its only competition is The Incredibles and Beowulf.
