Besides the big Kratos-vs-Pickachu matchup (still anxious to see who comes out on top), I've noticed quite a few other very interesting matches between well-known characters come up. Such match-ups include..

Yoshi vs. Gordon Freeman: Yoshi is probably the most well-loved of all the Mario characters, and while Gordon may not be as cute and cuddly (a bit more geeky, actually), he's certainly just as popular. A lovable green dinosaur or.. the guy with glasses who starred in Half Life? The choice is yours. My vote? Yoshi

Banjo Kazooie vs. Donkey Kong: I never really played any of the Banjo games, but a few years back as the new game for Xbox 360 was about to release, I heard NOTHING but hype and excitement over it. They're games seem interesting, and so do the character/characters? Then there's Donkey Kong though.. a classic, pure and simple, and most grew up with him. He's a large gorilla that doesn't take any sh*t (again never played many of his games, not an old gamer, but I still think I'll go for Banjo & Kazooie just for the hell of it. They deserve some credit, I suppose.

Ryu Hayabusa vs. Sackboy: Oh my god, what a match!! Similar to the Kratos-vs-Pikachu matchup, you've got a legendary badass warrior on one hand, and then the most lovable and awesome character ever on the other. I am not a diehard Ninja Gaiden fan, so therefore my vote definitely goes to Sackboy for being such a cool mother f*cka. But who knows what the general public will decide?

Dante vs. Kirby: Not as close as the previous match, but never-the-less presents the dilemna of "warrior or cute character?", which has proven to be the major decision to make for most of the noteworthy matchups.. Kirby has fantastic side-scroller games, but everyone seems to like Dante a lot. He's no God of War, but he's got a great chance of slaying the super-tuff pink puff. Seeing as he'll probably win, I'm going to vote for Kirby just because I'd like to see everyone's favorite anti-hero fail horribly. Which won't happen, but who knows..

Ratchet & Clank vs. Mega Man: Eh... since Mega Man's old games were just too damn hard, I'm going for my pals Ratchet & Clank.
