Just a month ago I would have cursed the name of anyone who dared to say that Metal Gear Should come to the 360. I didn't like the series but it was one of the few glimmers of hope left for my beloved Sony. However, now, I believe that the series should go multiplatform.
I, AA7, was for a very long time one of the few people on the earth who honestly HATED the Metal Gear Solid series . I HATED it. The camera angle pissed me off, the Looooooong cut scenes pissed me off and I hated Snakes Arrogant character.
But all of that has changed. After putting in some quality time with MGS: The Twin Snakes for the GameCube, I am now deeply in love with the series. I love the camera angles, I love the Looooooong cut scenes and Snake is one of my new favourite characters.
This series is too good to be missed.
So basically the conclusion that I am coming to is this: Share the greatness.
This series is fantastic and no gamer should be deprived the joy of playing it.
Why not allow the series that gamers praise and love to be praised and loved by all?
Hmmmm???
Is it really worth one of the best series available to not reach a wide audience just to be selfish and keep it all to Sony?

Right now we really dont know if MGS4 is coming to the 360 or not. Until Kojima Says: "MGS4 will NEVER come to the 360"........we cant be sure.

Dont post here if you are going to call me a fanboy and flame me. Have you seen my collection? I have owned every Sony gaming console ever, even the PS3. And FYI only one Metal Gear game has ever gone to Xbox. I wonder who the fanboy is here? Perhaps the guy with the PSN Home logo as his icon? Or maybe its the guy who only reviews Sony games? Or perhaps its the guy whos every blog post is Sony related? What about the guy who says that Ken Kutariagi was: one of the greatest gaming influences? Hmmmmm?

I've never played MGS, but so help me... I heard there are more cutscenes than actual gameplay. I hate cutscenes of any kind, so I guess this just wouldn't be my kinda game.

Yeah, the cutsceen thing is true. I hated it a 1st but after realising that this is a great way for these games to engage the player in the cinimatice storyline, i loved it. Just think of them as movies that you play parts of.

Even though I can't relate with anything in the MGS games, I agree that porting it would be good because then more people can get to play it and also the company can get more sales. It's not exactly a franchise I care about, so if this doesn't happen, I'm not chuffed.

I'm in the spread the wealth camp. If it's such a great series then put it on the all console platforms and the PC too. Would I get it? Probably not. I hate long cut scenes!

To each his own but you are right. You dont have to play a game if you dont want to but everyone should have the option to play basicly whatever they want to.

I'm with you, I definetly think that MGS4 should come out on the 360. I mean Kojima says that the series belongs on the Playstation because thats where the fanbase for MGS is but thats just not true anymore, so many people would rather save their money and get a 360 instead of a PS3 even though before they may have been loyal to sony. Oh and imo MGS:TS is WAY too easy, MGS1,2 and 3 are WAY better.

Adolescnet, you bring up a good point, the fanbase of Sony is spread out all over the place. Look at the ammount of old PS users who have now gone to the 360, myself included.

And Katamari, Im not so sure how well a Wii version of MGS4 would turn out. The graphics are very nice and im not so sure that the Wii could come close to handleing it, it would have to be really downgraded.

man , i still havent played the mgs series, only played snake eater for a couple of hours and it amazed me , looking forwrard to play this awesome series soon

Well, yes, I'd love to see that game go multiplatform. But that's only because I can't afford a PS3. If it doesn't branch out, I could see the game being something of a system seller for sure. I'm still crossing my fingers, though.

3p, thats basically the same reason that millions of people want this sereis to go multiplat, people, such as myself, just cannot justify spending that kind of $ for a few games that they really want.

I hope so however I had a wierd dream that I actally bought a ps3. It is after all the only system missing from my collection. but sill if MGS4 and FFXIII come to xbox360 that will be just fine.

you know you could write petion on onlinepetion.com i did that for bring more of the final fantasy games to the 360 but now ever siged if we could get enough people which you seem good at we shouldn't have problem.
