That Dirty Harry collection is brilliant. How much was it?
Posted Sep 7, 2009 4:21 pm PT
TriEdgeFury26 - Ya that's a great movie. I've been doing well, how about you? Jennifer's Body looks a little strange, It's either going to be great or horrible.

aaronmullan - I love it so much It was about $110 U.S.

you finally watched Shawshank Redemption.

good to hear from you.

Hey LD.

Those are some really sweet pick-ups for the month, especially the Dirty Harry Collection.

How many times have you seen Megan on the silver screen this year, LD? Was District 9 any good?

I still haven't seen Watchmen, but I feel like avoiding it until I bother reading a plot synopsis of the graphic novel on Wikipedia or something.

Oh my. Why, who's this fine young lady? Oh wait, she's older than me.

Hope the rest of your year is great.

District 9 was an amazing movie. In terms of what I purchased from August to this month: Wolfenstein 3D (XBLA), RPG Maker (PS1), and Illusion of Gaia (SNES). Great monthly progress, even if you were a bit late on posting such a blog
Posted Sep 7, 2009 5:12 pm PT
phoenyx9 - I watched Shawshank a long time ago, I just watched it again this month Good to hear from you too, how have you been doing?

synyster-666 - Hi Kratos I've seen Transformers 2 three times, so 3 I'll be seeing Jennifer's Body too District 9 is awesome. The movie has so much awesomeness. It's going to be hard to get a good synopsis. Either read the graphic novel or watch it without knowing anything. Her being older than you...it never stopped you before, why is that stopping you now?

6h05tly - Yeah, I want to see it again. Sound like you had a good month too. I love that people are still buying PS1 and SNES games. Retro is win

I love District 9. Peter Jackson have sharp eye for talents. Great film. What a collection on Dirty Harry... almost match my Stanley Kubrick's Collection on Blu-ray. lol. Sorry about that... I shouldn't said it that way. Yeah... Great collections.

You seem to watch loads of movies this month and in such vast categories as well. I like to do that one day, Just watch what ever I felt like it but Stanley Kubrick's and Wong kar-Wie spoiled me.

Quite a short blog from you this time.. But understandable when you said at the beginning of the blog that you are busy. Well, until next time.

That's Dishpan to you.
Transformers 2 disappointed me. It was too in-your-face in terms of the action. I wish it were like that with Megan. It was WAY TOO LONG too.
I'll watch District 9 some time later. I'm really interested in watching Moon and (500) Days Of Summer at the moment.
I think I'd rather read the graphic novel first, but I was never able to get into them. I just bought them as a kid for looking at them, not reading.
Because Macaulay Culkin has her!
Oh yeah, now that God of War 1 and 2 are being released on the PS3, you might have a reason to finally buy and experience them.

Dirty harry box looks great! Was District 9 any good?
Posted Sep 7, 2009 10:59 pm PT
Very glad to hear you've been enjoying a lot. Sounds like you've been busy indeed, the list of watched movies is shorter than usual. Have a great September you too. Hugs
Posted Sep 7, 2009 11:33 pm PT
I probably watched only one movie last month, which was The Truman Show on TV. Has the Xbox 360 stopped being played?
Posted Sep 7, 2009 11:51 pm PT
Did you like Black hawk down?
Posted Sep 8, 2009 12:06 am PT
Thomas-Crown - If the movie has Peter Jackson's name on it you know it's going to be good. I love Kubrick. What's your favourite movie of his? Watching tons of movies is fun but only if you've got the time Not much happened this month in terms of purchases or progress.

synyster-666 - Transformers 2 was a disappointment but I still enjoyed it. It was a good movie. You can't expect an amazing story and great acting etc. from a Transformers movie. You get what you should expect, great action and a hot Megan I don't mind long movies if they're done right, but Transformers 2 did drag for a while. A lot could have been cut in the middle and near the end. I really want to see Moon but it's on a very limited run and isn't playing here Mila and Macaulay still really confuse me, one of the great mysteries of life Their relationship is clearly not based on looks. I guess he's just a really great guy? Yeah we'll see about the God of War games. I'll probably be picking them up.

MorkkiTH - It's as good as it looks. District 9 is awesome!

boom-moo - Yes it is a lot shorter, mainly due to me not being home much of the month. Hugs

kingkilla3 - I've never seen the Truman Show but I've heard it was good. I haven't really played my 360 for months now, haven't played any games.

paul939 - Loved it.

Shwashank Redemtion....great movie. Saw Tranformers 2 and didn't like it but Distrit 9 was fantastic
Posted Sep 8, 2009 12:39 am PT
hectron - For the most part I agree with everything you said
Posted Sep 8, 2009 1:21 am PT
my friend saw Knowing about 4 days ago and he really liked it, I mean REALLY liked it. District 9 looks good, I'd want to watch that. Mila Kunis is not bad, but I hope we still get to see Megan at times... give us Megan! give us Megan! give us Megan!

Awesome purchases, especially your Blu-Ray Collection of the Dirty Harry movies.
Posted Sep 8, 2009 6:32 am PT
Sparda_13 - Knowing is actually a very good movie, shame it gets so much negative criticism. District 9 is better than it looks. My picture of the month is my favourite picture of the month, not the picture I think will be most popular. If a picture of Megan is my favourite in the upcoming months (chances are high) I'll gladly put her in the pic of the month section.

david_lck - Thanks. That was my favourite purchase I've made in a long time.

Transformers 2 was awesome.
Posted Sep 9, 2009 12:29 am PT
soulless4now - For what you get it's a great movie. It's very far from perfect but we go to the movies to be entertained and that's what we get.

What disappointed me was that they actually tried to make it an epic film with an epic storyline and an epic LACK OF MEGAN!!!
Megan was still smokin' though.
I can't believe that people, especially Aussies, were saying that that Australian robot girl with the creepy tail was hotter than Megan. WTF were they thinking?!
Yeah, it's like the film didn't have much of an editing process. I actually liked the film's humour though, but that "New Divide" song by Linkin Park and "21 Guns" by Green Day were overused. As you can tell, I have a lot of hate for that film.
It came out on the 3rd of this month over here, from what I heard. I still can't decide between Moon and (500) Days of Summer. Hmm... One of the best films of the year with Kevin Spacey as an awesome robot, or one of the best films of the year with Zooey Deschanel.
I still haven't seen much that is great to him, besides the first two Home Alone films. Maybe it's based on a bad taste in video games. *Cough* World of Warcraft *Cough*
No. Not probably. Definitely.
Posted Sep 9, 2009 5:10 pm PT
synyster-666 - They did try to make it epic but you can't do it with a storyline and plot like that. I thought that was was hot but comparing her to Megan, she losses. I didn't really like the humour, well some of it was good and other parts were just stupid. I didn't know you liked Zooey Deschanel..or did I? I have no interest in (500) Days of Summer though. Lots of interest in Moon though. Love the guy who scores the movie too. You don't know him so you can't really say if he's a good guy or not. I'm not sticking up for him, I'm just saying

BLAckHAwkDOwn is an amazing movie. never been a fan of josh but that movie was awesome.
Posted Sep 9, 2009 7:51 pm PT
MissMorphine - Yeah it's such an awesome movie. BTW long time no see, how have you been doing?
Posted Sep 9, 2009 10:33 pm PT
lol, yeah you probably told me you watched it and I forgot. ~~~

I'm doing ok, still doing my treatment. its been hard but I'm slowly making progress, I'm a lot better than a year ago. ~~~

I see you have Beatles RB, how do you like it?
Posted Sep 10, 2009 11:06 am PT
I wish they made action movies like Die Hard or Terminator 2 these days. You know, the type that stray away from the action at times to focus on the characters. The Dark Knight did that really well.
Yeah, that girl was mainly make-up and stuff. I saw her in an interview and she didn't look very special.
I just liked those two "gansta" robots.
I don't think I ever mentioned Zooey Deschanel to you. Just Mila Kunis, Amanda Crew, Anne Hathaway, Rachel Weisz and Mary Elizabeth Winstead.
I really want to see how Clint Mansell scored Moon. I still can't get over his work on Requiem For A Dream.
I think you are sticking up for him. TRAITOR!
Posted Sep 10, 2009 6:38 pm PT
phoenyx9 - I can't remember if I told you.....we have such bad memories Slow progress is very good. I was in a posistion and I'm sure you were too, that I was making absolutely no progress at all. It's so nice to feel progress, no matter how slow it's moving. Very glad to hear that you're getting better Beatles Rock Band is great so far. I haven't played it much but I'm sure that will change soon.

synyster-666 - Truly great movies are hard to come by these days. Pretty much every movie is a sequel. I think for the most part Hollywood is out of ideas. It's amazing how they can make you look in movies. Just by make-up and lighting and things like that they can make you look so much better than you actually do. I hated those gansta robots You have too many crushes Did you ever see The Fountain? Another movie by Darren Aronofsky and scored by Clint Mansell. I thought the movie's terrible but there's a great song in the movie called "Death is the Road to Awe". I'm sure I've told you about this song? If not check it out if you like. Another one of Mansell's masterpieces. I won't stick up for him, I'm just saying don't judge a book by its cover. I have my opinion on him, I think he's a loser But I don't know him, so my opinion is worthless.

I definitely agree on movie of the month, one hell of a movie. By the way, what do you think of the movie District 9?
Posted Sep 11, 2009 7:51 pm PT
alidallal - For the fans of super hero movies I think it's a very unique and different look at the genre. I loved Watchmen. District 9 was awesome. One of the most original and best movies of the year.
Posted Sep 11, 2009 11:01 pm PT
Pretty awesome movies seen my a pretty awesome guy. Keep it up!
Posted Sep 12, 2009 4:03 am PT
