Picture of the Month

May was a pretty good month for me. The weather has started getting very nice so I've spent most of my time out and about. It's hard to play games and be on the computer when it is such a nice day out. I watch movies at night so that explains why I've still been watching a lot of movies, just haven't got much gaming or gamespotting time in. I guess I'm just living my life.

_Mana_ - It is now one of my favourite films as well. Edward Nortan gave one of the best performances I've seen. I have been following E3 a little bit, lookin good so far.

No game purchases? Ah well, it still sounds like you had a good month.
Posted Jun 4, 2009 3:05 am PT
my friend(while drunk) actually went on a black guy and whispered 'American History X'in his ears... he almost got us in a ****load of trouble that night it's too bad you didn't do much gaming this month since that's one of the parts I check out the most... I want to see Angels and Demons... I like Mila Kunis as an actress but I don't think she is that hot BUT this picture of her is peculiarly hawt

I forgot all about the rest of your blog after I saw the picture of the month.
Posted Jun 4, 2009 6:03 am PT
Nice, you watched a hell of a lot of films. I echo the sentiments of others that Americasn History X is a fantastic film.
Posted Jun 4, 2009 6:11 am PT
It seems that you did have pretty big movie month
Posted Jun 4, 2009 7:30 am PT
I saw three of the films you've watched at the theaters (Star Trek, Terminator, and Wolverine). I won't be able to get my May blog done so I will make a brief highlight about it in my June blog. My only excuse is E3. So much stuff happening this time that I barely got a chance to prepare myself for my monthly blog

Anyway, as always, great blog and other things that went around it See Ya

you saw a lot of movies, I didn't even see one. Not even Wolverine in the theaters...

John Williams is awesome! I need to get American History X great film.
Posted Jun 4, 2009 9:20 am PT
Oh no games bought? Looks like a movie mounth.
Posted Jun 4, 2009 9:37 am PT
Dream Theater - Panic Attack...man do wish I could play that song on Rock Band
Posted Jun 4, 2009 9:40 am PT
Living your life sounds great It's only natural that the warmth keeps people outside and spending less time at the computer. I, for one, am enjoying the good weather, especially the fact of getting rid of one layer of clothes. Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory was one of my favourite books when I was a kid. Well, it still is. And I love John Williams's movie scores. Glad to hear from you. Hugs

ShadowLaguna - Nope. I'm planning on getting infamous soon though. The reviews are impressive and I love the company so I'll pick that up eventually.

Sparda_13 - That's probably not the smartest thing to do I don't think any race should be offended but then again I can understand if they are offended. I wonder what skin heads thought of the film Have you seen Forgetting Sarah Marshall?

chandu83 - lol sorry?, you're welcome?

Sharvie - It's truly an amazing film. Pretty special, you don't see very movies like it.

MorkkiTH - Like always I've been into watching movies lately. It's so nice when you find that a movie that you love that you never would have watched.

6h05tly - Which of those 3 movies did you like the best? For me it was Star Trek. E3 seems to take over people Well that's understandable, It's really cool to see what they're planning for us gamers. I just wish all that stuff was released to the public that day, I can't wait!

phoenyx9 - I think you might have been playing your 360 and getting achievements I have always been a big fan of John Williams, even since I was a little kid. I'm surprised that almost everyone has seen it

Primo295 - Hopefully this month I'll get a new game, I'm closely eying infamous.

PJ24 - I feel bad fo you and your lack of rock band
Posted Jun 4, 2009 12:15 pm PT
boom-moo - I find it impossible to stay in front of a computer during the summer. Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory was always a favourite film of mine as a kid. I never read the book, actually I might of....I can't remember Big John Williams fan here too Thanks, hugs

I really need to see American History X and Taken, heard they're both great films. How'd you like Star Trek and Terminator? Panic Attack is one of my favorite Dream Theater songs.
Posted Jun 4, 2009 12:26 pm PT
Oh, no no no. Panic Attack IS on Rock Band...I just can't get to the end of it
Posted Jun 4, 2009 12:37 pm PT
Zeromus1337 - They're both good films, especially American History X. Taken is a pretty good action film, it takes you on a ride. I really liked Star Trek, I think it's the best film of the year so far. Terminator was ok, loved the action but everything else in the movie was alright. A pretty good summer movie though. I love Panic Attack too

PJ24 - Oh I see, I don't think I can complete the entire song either, the length of it doesn't help either
Posted Jun 4, 2009 4:29 pm PT
Benajam Button was a great movie. I had me crying at some parts.
Posted Jun 4, 2009 8:25 pm PT
soulless4now - It had me almost crying
Posted Jun 4, 2009 10:34 pm PT
nah, haven't seen it, not much of a movie ticoon...
Posted Jun 5, 2009 12:38 am PT
Sarda_13 - If you saw that movie you would definitely think she's hot
Posted Jun 5, 2009 2:30 am PT
American History X is an amazing movie and it's my second favourite Ed Norton movie after Fight Club.
Numb is a good song. One of the few songs from Linkin Park that I really like.
Angels and Demons was such a disappointing movie. I knew it could never do such an awesome book justice, but it was even worse than that.
Posted Jun 5, 2009 11:12 am PT
lightwarrior179 - I just watched Fight Club last night, great movie. I'm not sure which one is better at the moment. Numb is one of my favourites from Linkin Park along with What I've Done and New Divide. I actually really liked Angels and Demons. I never read the book and I never really liked The Da Vinci Code so maybe that's why I liked it.
Posted Jun 5, 2009 11:22 am PT
i listened to Numb today while i was playing basketball pretty good song too get u pumped
Seems you had a BIG movie month
Posted Jun 5, 2009 3:42 pm PT
NuKkU - I never thought of it as a pump up song but now that I think about it I think it would be a great one. Every month is a big movie month
Posted Jun 5, 2009 9:31 pm PT
wow, that is a pretty busy movie month and it seems you've seen some of the best movies out there
What do you think of the star wars game? Do strongly recommend it?
Posted Jun 8, 2009 11:46 am PT
I love your movie selections. I definitely want to see Star Trek and Slumdog Millionaire. I got The Dark Knight a while ago on Blu-Ray and have probably watched it ten times. As for games, I'd like to get Infamous after I work through my current backlog Have a good June.
Posted Jun 8, 2009 5:44 pm PT
alidallal - Ya I saw a bunch of great movies, I think it doesn't compare to this month though I love the force unleashed. Definitely play it if you get the chance

Pinman_DS9 - Star Trek and Slumdog Millionaire are both amazing films in their own right. Hopefully you get to see them. I have watched The Dark Knight a lot of times on blu-ray too, one of the best quality blu-rays. I'm hoping to get infamous soon too. Thanks you too

kingrich06 - lol thanks
Posted Jun 14, 2009 11:45 am PT
sorry for the late comment well, I've seen all episodes of that 70s and I really like her acting and the fact that she voices Meg in Family Guy is a pro for me I've seen some nude pictures of her and they weren't that hot either lol she's too flat :/ and I saw the a trailer to Forgetting Sarah Martial where Mila Kunis is a receptionist, even if the movie was sucky, she would light it up
Posted Jun 15, 2009 7:52 am PT
Sparda_13 - It's ok She was really young in that 70's show, she hadn't really grown up yet. You can't see her as Meg But I know what you mean. There aren't any nude pictures of her, which ones are you talking about? You have to see the entire movie to understand, her beauty in that movie isn't something that can be seen in a trailer or a screenshot. Plus the movie is hilarious too so it's a win win
Posted Jun 15, 2009 12:14 pm PT
I haven't seen Willy Wonka in so long.
Posted Jun 18, 2009 8:44 pm PT
soulless4now - Me neither, I hadn't seen it in a very long time and I wanted to watch it again. Luckily it was on TV so I was able to watch it.
Posted Jun 19, 2009 11:07 am PT
Hey Long time no see. Hope you are doing fine and dandy and enjoying summer. Hugs!
Posted Jun 21, 2009 6:24 am PT
boom-moo - Summer and life is going great right now. How about you?
Posted Jun 21, 2009 10:51 am PT
Hey LD. So sorry for the late comment. I've been so busy with university and catching up with all the stuff that's been happening on GameSpot.

What do you think is better: Benjamin Button or Slumdog Millionaire? I still don't understand why The Wrestler wasn't picked for Best Picture. I know I should just let it go, but that film deserved the nomination at the least.

Is Children of Men any good? I remember when that film came out and I was like "Doesn't look very interesting", but I've heard some good things about it and I've become really interested in the whole idea of dystopian futures, especially after seeing A Clockwork Orange.

I've wanted to see Unforgiven in recent months. How is the film? I think I caught a bit of it on television once without actually realising.
It's the same with American History X. I've heard that Edward Norton is brilliant in that film.
Posted Jun 25, 2009 11:36 pm PT
I haven't seen any of the films you went and saw in the cinemas. I showed a lack of interest towards most of them, except for Star Trek and maybe Terminator: Salvation. I've seen a bit of Terminator 3 and that just disappointed me. Then again, I was never expecting it to match or even just get close to the awesomeness that is Terminator 2.

Ooh, I really want to watch In Bruges ever since I saw Colin Farrell promoting the film on Letterman. Plus, I was surprised he took the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy.

Ooh, you listen to Linkin Park?
Very nice picture of the month, man. I approve.

Glad to hear that you've been out more. With my holidays over, I pretty much live at university. I'm glad though, 'cause I hated being stuck with my parents at home all the time.
Posted Jun 25, 2009 11:36 pm PT
synyster-666 - No problem. Both are amazing films. It's a hard decision, you can't go wrong with either film but at the moment I'm going to go with Slumdog. Children of Men is a great picture. It's very unique in which the way it is filmed and in which the story is told. It's also got one of the best action scenes I've ever seen. Unforgiven is also a great movie. It's probably either the 1st or 2nd best western movie I've seen, although I haven't seen many. Star Trek is worth seeing for sure. Terminator was alright. In Bruges is another very unique film. It's very good, interesting all the way through. I listen to a couple of Linkin Park songs from time to time. They've got some great songs out there. I knew you'd like the pic of the month Probably best for you to spend most of your time somewhere other than home.
