It's a surprise, you bought a PS3 game. What isn't new for me is that you have seen lots of movies. LOL at the avatar.
Posted May 5, 2009 1:23 am PT
Wait a minate...did you go the whole first week of this month without watching a movie!?
Posted May 5, 2009 1:29 am PT
canana - Ya I don't buy too many PS3 games but I've heard so many good things about Killzone 2 it was a must buy. The avatar makes me lol too, just Wellwood himself makes me lol

PJ24 - Yes, almost 2 weeks. In March I had watched at least 1 movie a day and it caught up to me. I needed a break
Posted May 5, 2009 1:35 am PT
You really liked return of the jedi?
Posted May 5, 2009 2:24 am PT
Despite that i'm not an FPS fan, Killzone 2 looks pretty cool.
Posted May 5, 2009 3:03 am PT
paul939 - Of course. Don't tell me you didn't?

ShadowLaguna - It really does. It looked great but I wasn't sure if it was going to be like Haze or something like that. It looks great, but the game is horrible once you play it.
Posted May 5, 2009 3:13 am PT
That avatar looks kvite veird. I have Dog Day Afternoon on only DVD.
Posted May 5, 2009 4:04 am PT
Good choice for the movie of the month! I should watch those older star wars movies someday... hmm... maybe weekend... I still haven't watched quantum of solace...
Posted May 5, 2009 4:40 am PT
Wow, lots of movies!
Posted May 5, 2009 5:26 am PT
WOW , u got amazing games , movies to enjoy LD Enjoy em 2 da fullest
Posted May 5, 2009 5:47 am PT
Is the weird gap between the teeth a result of the beating? I haven't tried Killzone but I'm tempted... I've seen Blow with my friends, great movie, would've been awkward to see that movie with my family The picture of the month is a joke right? I have never seen a Star Wars movie because of fear that I may get obsessed since I've only known the story of Anakin Skywalker/ Darth Vader and even that alone got me opsessed on Star Wars stuff for about a week I will avoid being a SW fan because of the stereotype If I had a 360 I would've given The Lost and the Damned a go... I'm a great fan of Tim Burton but I heard that Sweeney Todd is far from being one of his best work, I even heard that the music in it sucked in opposition to The Nightmare Before Christmas which has great music.
Posted May 5, 2009 6:38 am PT
I've always wanted to watch The Wrestler, though I'm no pro-wrestling fanatic. I like the avatar BTW. Great monthly blog (mine's up too FTW). See Ya!

Oh yeah, in case I forget: did you get my message via XBL regarding my gamertag change? Just wondering, that's all
Posted May 5, 2009 9:35 am PT
Awesome purchases you made there. Have fun.
Posted May 5, 2009 9:57 am PT
Killzone 2 is a great game... Although not important but when playing it with a Dualshock 3 is even more fantastic. lol. The atmospheres increased by 10 fold. lol. Anyway, an eventful month, like always... How's Lost and the Damned? I saw a few vids on youtube and it looks mighty fun... Rockstar sure knows what the GTA universe needs. lol. Okay then, time to go, Great blog BTW.

Love the commment of the month! Sounds like a Star Wars centred month, I haven't watched any of them, sci-fi is not much my thing. Good luck to the Ducks and hugs for you
Posted May 5, 2009 10:51 am PT
kingkilla3 - I guess it is a little different from all my other avatars, it is a bit weird I guess. Do you have a blu-ray player?

MorkkiTH - Thanks I can't believe you've never seen the original Star Wars movies, you must see them ASAP Quantum of Solace is no big deal though

chandu83 - Yup

indzman - Thanks I'll do my best.

Sparda_13 - He got high sticked twice which caused him to lose a tooth and get cut above the eye. I haven't tried Killzone 2 either because I buy more games than I play I don't think Blow would have been awkward but that's just me and my parents. Ya pic of the month is a joke, I don't expect anyone to understand it but if you were a big Canucks fan you'd think it was awesome I remember you telling me you won't watch certain movies because you're scared of becoming obsessed, I am the opposite Do you have GTA IV? Sweeney Todd was ok. I'm not a big Tim Burton fan but I'll admit some of his movies are amazing. I usually get hell for this but I didn't like The Nightmare Before Christmas

6h05tly - I'm not a big wrestling fan either especially the WWE but don't get me started. But this is a different type of wrestling and it's more about the characters than wrestling. Thanks I'll check out your monthly blog soon I haven't got your XBL message yet, I haven't been on there in a while.

Primo295 - Thanks

Thomas-Crown - I've got a Dualshock 3 and I agree, it makes the games a lot better. Lost and the Damned was actually better than I thought it was going to be. They really did a great job considering it's just downloadable content. It's a longer game then some full games Thanks
Posted May 5, 2009 11:20 am PT
boom-moo - Me too The month did have a lot of Star Wars in it. I've had a couple of those months before I think you should give the series a try but I don't want to force you No not ducks, I'm a Canuck! I just said Go Ducks Go because I was rooting for them in there series but overall I am 100% a Canuck fan
Posted May 5, 2009 11:24 am PT
yeah I have GTA4 but the lost and damned patch is only available in the 360, I'm sure you knew that already but just to be positive that I answered your question, I told you again yeah dude, I get obsessed very very easy, it's like I've been obsessed with almost all serieses of movies/games/tv shows that have that much of a large fanbase eg. MGS, DMC, South Park, Dragonball, Harry Potter(I'm not at all embarassed to say that cause I think everyone would obsess about HP if they only knew what it was all about), LOTR etc..... you don't like TNBC? I hate you!! nah jk, I obviously respect your opinion... I dunno why but I'm writing large comments on this blog lol
Posted May 5, 2009 11:27 am PT
Nice buys. Also the Wings game is on tonight! I can't wait. This is going to be and already is an interesting series for the Wings. Anaheim is a tough bunch. Don't worry I'm going to do a blog on the Wings if they get kicked from the playoffs or make it to the finals.
Posted May 5, 2009 1:21 pm PT
Killzone 2 looks great!
Posted May 5, 2009 1:28 pm PT
Nice purchases. I don't have even one Blu-Ray movie. Only because I don't have a T.V to watch it on.
Posted May 5, 2009 3:33 pm PT
Reply to LD: that's strange about the message. I sent it to everyone to all of my XBL friends
Posted May 5, 2009 3:47 pm PT
You must tell me how good KZ2 is
Posted May 5, 2009 4:14 pm PT
Wow alot of movies watched also we should play KZ2 online together
Posted May 5, 2009 4:37 pm PT
Love the avatar!

Very cool pick-ups for the month, LD.
YAY! You bought a PS3 game for once.
How is Killzone 2?

I've seen a bit of Casino Royale and I really enjoyed it. I've been quite interested in Quantum of Solace for a few months, especially 'cause of that new Bond girl whom you've mentioned a couple of times.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!! The Wrestler! I want that movie.
Does it look good on Blu-ray?

Man, I haven't seen Escape From Alcatraz in years. I loved that film, but I can't remember much of it as I saw it when I was hella young.

Was Fast and Furious decent enough to watch? My friend's been nagging me to go and see it with him, but I CBF. I've seen most of Tokyo Drift and that was absolutely horrendous. I still don't understand how that dude survived with no scratches whatsoever after his car toppled down that hill.

You watched the 1966 Batman flick? I remember watching it as a kid. I was like "WTF is this sh!t?"
But seriously, that film was an absolute joke.

What is Dog Day Afternoon about? This is the second time it's appeared in a blog of yours and I'm curious as to how good it is.

I still haven't watched the Star Wars films. I know that I should, but I just can't find the time these days.
WOO! Motley Crue.
The picture of the month... I dun get it...

Awesome blog man. I look forward to your next one.
I madez a short comment in your monthly blog!
Posted May 5, 2009 5:46 pm PT
First off, I'd like to apologize regarding my past few missed comments in your blog, I've just been really busy, and I apologize for missing those blogs. Just wanted to say that before I got to my comment.

KILLZONE 2! Oh man, I need that one... I mean, really. I need to see Dog Day Afternoon, I mean I actually have it here, But I've been lazy. I need to get more achievements in SW: Force Unleashed...

Good luck Canucks!
Posted May 5, 2009 7:43 pm PT
Sparda_13 - Yes I knew, I was just wondering if you had played it You should probably stay away from Megan Fox because I have a hunch that's a very easy thing to obsess over Don't worry, I'm a big Harry Potter fan as well TNBC is a movie I need to give a second chance though. I haven't watched it in a very long time and don't remember it.

pspdemoboy52 - Thanks I was watching the Red Wings game and sorry to say they lost. Hopefully Wisniewski's ok

Xongu - Yes it does. I just had to buy it.

vidplayer8 - That's fine. Those TVs are very expensive. The quality is amazing though!

6h05tly - I haven't been on XBL in a few weeks. I'm sure I got the message, I just haven't read it yet.

aaronmullan - Can't, haven't played it

NuKkU - I'm not much of an online gamer but we'll see

synyster-666 - Thanks He's #42 I haven't played KZ2 yet. Casino Royale is a great movie but Quantum of Solace is ok. Olga is a great gal, she's very exotic in Quantum. I likey I haven't watched The Wrestler on Blu-Ray yet either but I hear the quality is very good. I haven't seen Escape From Alcatraz yet....I know...again Fast and Furious was actually very good, I was impressed. You just got to leave your brain at the door before you watch it. It's a fun and entertaining series. I watched Tokyo Drift a while ago, I don't remember it much except that I liked it. I actually liked the 1966 Batman as well. It was one of those movies that was so bad it was good and I think that's what they were trying to do. I thought it was hilarious. Dog Day Afternoon is about 2 guys who rock a bank. Basically everything goes wrong and they are trapped inside the bank while cops and bystanders surround the building. It's a thriller/comedy/action I'd say. Have you seen any of the Star Wars movies? You're not suppose to get it, only a true Canucks fan would get it Thanks

Zeromus1337 - No problem. Sorry I haven't been commenting on your blogs, or any of my friends blogs for that matter. I've been busy too and haven't been as interested in GameSpot as much as I once was. Sounds like you need to do a lot...you're right...you are busy Thanks
Posted May 6, 2009 12:50 am PT
great purchases and a very busy month it seems
Posted May 6, 2009 6:00 am PT
so you bought a PS3 game hope you have fun with KZ2 again you watched tiwce as much movies as me I'm just not that much in movies and hope Canucks gets till ends

have fun and see ya
Posted May 6, 2009 9:06 am PT
alidallal - Thanks I guess it was a little busy

AnelZukic - Yes, finally! It has been a while Thanks That's fine, I'm a big movie person Thanks
Posted May 6, 2009 12:14 pm PT
You'll have to do something extra special for June, if my avatar gives any indication...

Can't wait for that new album.
Posted May 6, 2009 9:20 pm PT
I don't have one and I doubt that I will get one any time soon.
Posted May 6, 2009 11:19 pm PT
-Tish- - I can't wait for the new album either. It should be a good one.

kingkilla3 - You don't seem like a blu-ray person to me
Posted May 7, 2009 12:08 am PT
hey LD, sorry so late making it here. first off I'm gonna give you hell...for two reasons. First for telling me to get Rock Band. Its like crack, I like being able to sing in the headset and play the guitar too. Second...what do you mean you didn't like Nightmare Before Christmas?!

I liked Sweeney Todd, I almost watched it on dvd the other night but watched 30 Days of Night instead. I was in a dark mood.
Posted May 7, 2009 12:33 am PT
phoenyx9 - You never have to apologize for being late. Better late than never About Rock Band...I'm not going to say sorry, I'm going to say you're welcome I watched A Nightmare Before Christmas a very long time ago and I remember not liking it. I do need to watch it again though. I thought Sweeny Todd was alright. 30 Days of Night was a pretty cool movie. I enjoyed that one.
Posted May 8, 2009 1:47 am PT
I guess what made Sweeney Todd for me was the music and the twisted satire of it all. I haven't been playing any more guitar hero or Rock Band since my hand got better. I'm in another one of those challenges on the 360 voice site where I have to put up a lot of points in 30 days. So I'll be score whoring
Posted May 9, 2009 2:05 pm PT
phoenyx9 - The music of Sweeny Todd was alright. I thought the ending was good. Do you like Guitar Hero or Rock Band better? Those achievement point things in a month sound interesting but it's not something I'd like to do
Posted May 11, 2009 2:03 am PT
Crash is a pretty good movie. I must get it on dvd sometime.
Posted May 12, 2009 7:49 pm PT
I am kind of really late to be posting, but better late then never right? Congrats on everything you have done and gotten in the month of April.
Posted May 16, 2009 10:24 am PT
Sweeet. Hows KZ2??
What did you think of Knowing? I lol'd at the ending of it
Posted May 22, 2009 7:10 pm PT
soulless4now - I saw it a long time ago but I remember really liking it. It was pretty cheap too

Colmillios - Better late than never is what I always say Thanks

SHAUGHNZ - I haven't played it yet. I really liked Knowing a lot up until the ending. The ending wasn't terrible but still......I guess it's hard to end a movie like that.
Posted May 29, 2009 12:30 am PT
I never seen dog day afternoon, is it a good movie ? Impressive month again, i luv me some blu-rays. I have a facebook also, i'm Lexlas, same as here.
