James E. Gignac, 64, a Wood County Board Supervisor in La Crosse, WI, was arrested for patronizing prostitution on Monday September 18, 2006.  He resigned from the board the next day.

Reportedly, Mr. Gignac tried to hire a stripper, Nicole C. Vangeertruy, for sex.  When the woman came to his room she demanded $200.00 up front.  Ms. Vangeertruy then insisted Gignac wear a condom, which he did not have.  After the woman left the room to purchase a condom and failed to return, Gignac contacted police.

And as one would expect from a typically self-serving, spineless politician who cares nothing about the American people, Gignac had a wonderful explanation for his actions.  "I wanted them to know what was going on in their community," Gignac said  "I was trying to do the right thing, and I got cited for it." [1]

I don't know about you, but I would be proud to know my tax dollars were paying the salary of someone willing to make any sacrifice for the good of the community like Mr. Gignac.
