Dear,
beatmania IIDX 14 GOLD

While the rest of you dodo birds are pooping your way through CRAP like Guitar Zero and Crock Band, I was playing this lovely JAPANESE only releaseof beatmania IIDX 14. With a theme that says sex in gold, IIDX 14 is a blast trip through hypnotic electronic sounds with a Japaneseque sense. It's thumpting, addicting, and oh so hilarious at some spots. DJ **** theme for the game GOLD RUSH is a "RECLKESS RAVE" song that celebrates money and turning it gold with the beatmania IIDX franchise. This same DJ also remixes the 80s hit by Ray Parker GHOSTBUSTERS in the most "Engrish" way as possible. "Who you gonna call" becomes "Foo you gonna call!" Fabulous! The home version offers players a collaboration tracks. The most popular is this dance pop speed track by NAOKI and Ryu* "TreasureXStar." I dare you to look at this video and not laugh or atleast look dead stupid. . .

IIDX GOLD is the most playfull of the IIDX games thus far and with over 90 songs on the disc, you won't need crap such as DLC. Real music games are from Japan and Japan only releases. This is why I'm better than the rest of Gamespot, I know my games.

There's something quite special that I feel when I see Dante in this game. His red leather coat, leather chaps, cowboy boots, and that smirk he makes with his face turns me on. He was cool, confident, cocky, and sometimes derranged. I love that in a man. He was a though man through and through ready to take over just about anything. Legions of demons are a joke to him, he can take them on using a sword, guns, martial art, even using a suitcase that can do all kinds of magical things. One thing that's just as deadly as his moves are the words that come out of his mouth. Someone's been watching too much porn. My god I will surrender my life to a man like him. He's special. Then, there's Nero, a naive young man who has a problem with his right arm. It's possesed by the devil. Throught the whole game Nero goes after his sweetheart Kyrie (KII-RII!) defacing his religion in the process. He's a good kid, he can use his devil arm in all kinds of cool ways. Not as agressive as Dante in fighting but he can get the job done no problem. I wouldn't mind seeing him in part 5 as the solo protagonist so long as Dante can be played in some form. The game itself sits comfortably in third place for hardest game in the series. It's by no means an easy game but it is much fairer than say the US version of DMC3. DMC4 does have the most contreversial design in gaming for 2008. You'll be pressing forward for the first half of the game only to go back the second half with the second character. Along the way you will have to beat the game's 4 standard bosses THREE TIMES before you get to the final boss. Call it lazy to artificially lenghten the game but when the fighting is this good, who gives a ****!

There was a special feeling that hit me when I found a copy of this game at Gamedude that one faithful Sunday back in February. Whether it was a rush or a bug that hit me I couldn't quite figure it out. Yeah it was the Japanese import, and yeah it was fifty bucks. But I could care less, my snobery is so high I couldn't resist not getting it. Oh and the fact that I got to play this game two whole months before the rest of you monkeys was the icing on the cake. Yes I'm better than you. Navigating through a mess of menus in Japanese is an obssession of mine, it feels good, I feel like I'm one of them. And Sony Computer Entertainment America couldn't do a thing about it. I don't have to wait for the evils that is localisation since the PS3 is region free. The clerks at the store told me be sure to play this game in HD. Even in 720p it will blow my mind. They were right. Back then, GT TV was a free service and when the US finally got this game, I already got a ton of episodes available to me since my copy registered to Japanese servers. I got the goods, you guys were stuck in typical late fashion. Boy do I feel good. I recently updated the game to Spec III (again we got it first before you) but today I just insert the disc to gawk at the magnificent visuals. Can't wait for the final version of 5, which I'll be getting the Japanese version to ensure my superiority over the rest of Gamespot. HAHAHAHAHA!
